I ended up getting ds a present that doesn't sound exciting but I hope he'll like - will give him the receipts and he can change if necessary!! I got him Northface waterproof over-trousers and a fleece lining for his 3-in-1. I have been with him in the past and he's looked at them, then he decided not to pay the silly prices. I hope they are as waterproof as they claim to be. He goes out in all weather and pushes himself miles in his wheelchair. The weather never seems to bother him but it makes me feel cold just watching him LOL. I also bought him a cookery book and mic for his xbox - so he hasn't done too badly (ended up spending more than I intended, but he's a good lad!!)

Went out again this morning - I'm not convinced using this new cc is the best option for me :eek: I treated myself to a pair of ankle boots. I usually get very frustrated buying shoes as I have to wear insoles from the hospital and shoes I like won't take them. I saw a nice pair in BHS (I was only walking through - honest!!) with £10 off - then noticed another more practical pair - not bad either - with a nice bit of fur in - when I put them on they moulded to my feet - got to the till and these didn't have the tenner off, but I was past caring at his stage :rolleyes: - Ah well so much for good intentions. At least I resisted buying BOTH pairs ;)

I will pay the cc off in full when it comes if it kills me :D as I should have enough shopping in freezer for ages :T - just feels a bit strange buying on the cc after weening myself off it - can'y quite get my head around new idea :o

Off to make some mince pies - Milann toddles off to kitchen muttering ...I will not go near any shops, I will not go near any shops.......or t'internet shopping!!!!!

If it leads you into temptation stop using the CC it isn't worth it just for the points!

Glad you found stuff for DS..I'm sure he'll like them as he's been looking at them.
  • Sounds like the sort of thing DS really wanted so a nice present to have.

At least you're almost guaranteed a NSD tomorrow!!

    Cheers

:jHad a good day yesterday - even managed a NSD :j

Very relaxed just myself, dd and ds. Played wii games and watched tv whilst pigging out. Marred a bit by news that dd wasn't well again and waiting emergency doc.

Got news this morning that she has been admitted and put on IV fluids to rehydrate her. A bit worrying that they can't find the source of prob and made worse that she is 200 miles away. We should be going down tomorrow but have postponed a day - hopefully they'll let her out by then as it isn't too serious so there will be no consultants around until Tues. Will have to see what happens.

Went into town with ds today to get a refund on trousers as they were the wrong size and we've seen similar advertised elsewhere at less than half price - so going to get them and give him extra cash. As we were trying to navigate through ice - ds slid sideways - quite funny as well as a bit scary - next thing his chair was over and he was spralled over the floor. Passing man came running and sliding to help him up and must have thought us mad as we were both in fits laughing!! He has bumped his back though but at the time thought it was only his pride.

Thennn... dh phoned to tell me mil isn't well and he was dashing there so wouldn't be in when I got home - what a day - they say it comes in threes:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

At least I managed another NSD and we made the most of our time at home by chilling.

Hope you had a good CHristmas and Santa brought you some nice goodies.

Sounds like a great day except for DS falling out of his chair..hope he isn't in too much pain.
I hope DD gets better soon..it's such a worry when they're not well especially when they are so far away..also hope MIL recovers soon.
  • It sounds worrying about DD - hope they can get to the bottom of things. And that DS's back (and pride) recover quickly, and MIL too.

Is it Wii fit that you're playing - I seem to be surrounded by people with them. Very alarming that you can get a person who represents your size - do they have baby elephants as I think I'd need one of them. :rotfl:

Just got back from visiting dd - she isn't well at all - still unable to tolerate food. Going for camera down tomorrow to see if it shows anything - if they can fit her in after the backlogue from the hols. Still got tubing and drips attached and it is scary the amount of weight she has lost since I last saw her in November. What a way to spend Christmas for her - a lady in her 20's should be out enjoying life

On the plus side - the blood tests and major things like gallstones have all proved negative. They are thinking along the lines of inherited digestive problem from me at the moment - but she is presenting some different symptoms to me. What a rubbish mum - sons disabity is carried by me and now dd's tummy prob look like might be inherited too!! On the plus side to that thought - they also has my good attributes :D , which of course are many!! She is due to go for 3rd interview for her dream job too on Monday - doesn't look hopeful she'll get there at this point in time.

Her oh did a fantastic job in looking after us all whilst we were down there. Poor fella looked shattered too, but he was a man on a mission, we muddled along nicely though ;)

I wish I'd have longer with her by myself - I only managed a brief few minutes on my own to chat about how she really was - she was attempting to put a smile on - but mums know these things!!

Enough of my whinging - thanks for listening :A Here's to a healthy and happy 2010 for everyone :T:T:T
