You might have guessed my aim for 2010 is to look after myself - the targets are
-continue to chip away at finances. 2010 will be my debtfree year if I shape myself - thus improving my stress levels
-eat healthier with less wastage - means being disciplined and cooking for just me and oh and not as if I still have family at home
- become more active - don't want to set unachievable goals - but will aim to do 'some' exercise EVERY day - then increase it gradually
- organise myself might even get round to planning for longer than a day
- learn to chill - not get harrassed especially with work situation
Those steps look quite straightforward - we'll see - better put one in about positive thinking tooAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

That sounds really organised, and a good use of cyber-space diary to see it up there (and know that we see it too and will be ready to ask questions if you amend to: "lie in garden under tree with box of chocolates")
Makes me feel a bit guilty that you can manage to do DF and fitness together. I have been telling myself that I'll do one first and then think about the other... Maybe I'll just try doing something active each day. I find that when I work from home it is possible to spend the entire day doing nothing more strenuous than hanging out the washing, which probably merits a.
Have you managed another NSD if you couldn't get out?
Cheers

Yep - nuther nsd here - but i suspect that will be shattered over next few days!!
My exercise isn't much to brag about though - I just want to do 'something' rather than sitting on here scoffing crisps and chocolate when I come home from work - that is my danger time.
I am currently waiting for dd's oh to get back in touch with me.
He phoned and spoke to my dh earlier - dh being a man didn't ask the type of questions I would have asked - bless - can't help being a man!!!!
Anyway dd has had ct scan today - they have found something between her large and small intestine and are going to operate tomorrow. They won't know what it is till they get her into theatre. I've got all sorts of questions going through my mind and one of them is can I stay with him a couple of nights whilst I go and see her. She dropped everything and came running when I had my ops and I won't settle till I see her. If he doesn't ring soon I am going to book my train ticket as I don't think he'll throw me out onto the streets.
Not looking forward to next few days - now I know why I never plan anything - when I do something just comes along and scuppers it big time!!!!

Will abandon the weeks meal plan - managed a day ok - that's usually what happens too.
Getting train to London tomorrow - can't settle - got to see dd and know myself exactly whats happening and be there for her. Don't know and don't care what work will say at this moment in time - what will be will be - but I'm sure they'll be ok - they haven't got much choice have they really!!
Got single train for £29 - didn't think that was too bad at short notice. Hope the snow melts!!
Dh staying at home for now and will come down if really necessary.
I'm rambling - sorry folks - nasty habit when I'm worried.

With the turkey all eaten and the credit card up to the max, I've made my new years resolution to get out of debt. Obviously I'm in the same boat as many others. Its noticeable that a lot of us are women. I found a lot of really useful and free info & resources on pinkinvestments.org Its a website but like reading a magazine - it may be of help to other women trying to get rid of the credit cards & debt in 2010. Good luck to all.:T0

Good luck with DD, I'm glad you can be there for her. Train to London sounds a bargain - from the news the last couple of days I thought there were no decent fares to be had!
Thinking of you....

hi Milann - well done on the daily goals - you can always come back to them later and just pick up from where you left off.
I think in your situation I would have gone straight down to DD too - family are important. Hope the op goes well!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
