Just spent a lovely hour in the garden - potting a couple of miniature cherry trees in pots and spring bulbs around them - I know it's a bit late for the daffs but I'm hoping I'll get away with it as the weather is so mild. They have been sitting in a corner of my dining room waiting since September to be put into some compost. I went mad and ordered the trees hoping they will pay for themselves in cherries - at £30 for the two they'd better produce abloomin lot of cherries over many years to earn their keep. Plants are probably another reason I ended up spending so much on my ccs in the past. I bought these trees from birthday money and the bulbs were a freebie for placing the order. Also planted the garlic and red onion sets I bought about September - not sure how they will do as they now look a bit shrivelled and I've never planted them in tubs before. Time will tell LOL. I get all enthusiastic and buy the stuff and never get round to doing anything with them - a bit like a lot of the craft stuff I've acquired LOL LOL LOL
About to go to Morrisons and spend my £40 so that I can get £25 vouchers - I'm being desciplined and only buying what I really will use this week and then things that will keep that I know will use later like washing powder.
Tummy still not behaving and I hope it is still like this tomorrow when I see the doc.

Sounds like that must have been some garden SH.
Never got to Morrisons but went to Tesco dh wanted a bracket for the tv from there but they didn't have any left. Got a couple of Christmas presents using vouchers and a loaf only had to put £1 to it so a very low spend day. Could do with a few more low spend weekends like this one.

It won't take many cherries for those trees to pay for themselves - cherries are so expensive! How lovely to be able to eat them fresh from the garden. How many years will they take to mature and bear fruit?
Well done on the low spend weekend. I haven't been near a shop all weekend but have spent masses - courtesy of internet christmas shopping!
Cheers

Went to hospital today - was a bit of a waste of time. Only confirmed what I'd suspected for the last 3 years but no other doc would put into words. Basically bowel isn't functioning - don't know why - no tests or scans have shown anything up - but other than re-doing the drastic surgery I've had in the past there's not a lot they can do and that will only manage not cure it  I asked about the treatment the nurse suggested - he said it won't cure anything - but I didn't expect that  - but it is a means to manage things better than I am now and without surgery.Anyway.... he said just for me to get in touch with her to give it a try. Did I want to see him again in 6 months - I said yes - not sure why if there's nothing he can do but at least I'm on the books if there's any problem with the treatment from the stoma nurse. Feeling a bit fed up with things at mo - will pick myself up again soon but to hear in words what I've suspected for a long time was a bit of a blow.
On the plus side only spent £1.30 on a coffee at hospital.

SO sorry to hear that the news wasn't better. It's always worth keeping on with a consultant in case any new treatments come up.0

Not a very MSE day today - bought lunch at deli rather than go to meeting at lunchtime at work !!!
Had a really bad morning at work - I phoned to tell work I would be a little late - I was 15 minutes late - boss collared me on my way in not happy - buutttt - not as mad as me at this stage :mad::mad::mad: - I'm never late and was only late cos I had to phone the nurse to set up this new treatment - nurse had told me she had been trying to get hold of me at work in MY DINNERTIME and was told I was unavailable because I was in a meeting :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: -think I've had 3 phonecalls in the 7 years I've worked there!!!!!!!! boss realised I was a bit upset and had a genuine reason for being late after her deputy who is great and has far better people skills must have had a quiet word. She spent the rest of the day trying to get me to get round me and ask how I was - I busied myself as I would have probably said something I'd regret later . Soooo I went out at lunchtime sat and had a latte and sandwich and read the paper - think I really need to start looking for a new job :mad::rolleyes::mad::rolleyes: I couldn't have coped with a meeting this lunchtime.
Rant over:D
I hope I sleep better tonight - tossed and turned all night long.

Sorry to hear that nothing is getting resolved at your place.
I agree looking for a new job may be the answer..I'm sure with your skills and experience there will be many jobs available that will not treat you in such a disrespectful way.0
