Went into Morrisons this evening for milk and fresh veg.........£60 later I had a trolley full of stuff!!!!! But I have a humumgous piece of pork complete with crackling to put away for the Christmas period, a box of Christmas biscuits and the Hairy Dieters cookery book which I've been after for a while and they were all on offer......excuses.....excuses...... excuses Think I left my will power at the front door of the shop.

Will power has left me on the food front too. I had planned on some damage limitation after my birthday weekend before I go to SW on Thursday but it just hasn't happened.

    Household spends £60 total £290.97
    Petrol £50 total £050.00
    Clothes £20 total £050.00
    Entertainment £33.50 total £033.50

Keeping a tally of spends has really made me think again. I know I have spent a lot but my freezer is still well and truly stuffed and I really do not need anything other than fresh milk and fruit - mmm might have to send dh with a shopping list next week to stop me being frivilous!!

A friend took me for a meal on Thursday evening for a belated birthday treat to The Trafford Centre. We had a lovely meal and a bought another couple of bits towards the wedding outfit - a fascinator and a pair of leather gloves - both from my wedding budget. Still need a bolero, handbag and underwear ;) finding the first couple of items in navy is proving to be a bit of a problem!!!! but I've still got just short of 7 weeks left - where has time gone to..........

SOoooo spends so far this month

    Household £25 Total £315.97
    Petrol £50 Total £100
    Clothes £00 Total £50
    Entertainment £00 Total £33.50

DD has been home for the weekend so a few foodie spends were the order of the day. Need to use the stuff I have in though now........

I felt very pleased though as I gave her and her future dh the money I'd saved towards the big day. It was a total surprise to them and I'd never have managed to do that a few years ago. They said there was no need to contribute but they seemed pleased to accept :)

At sw put the 2 and a half I lost last week straight back on - BUT - I will be at my target by the wedding. I can control this - I can control this...............

I have had a few busy days here again. I had every intention of setting to and giving the house a good going over last weekend but the sun was shining and we might not get many more days like that..........so we headed for St Anns, Fleetwood and Blackpool where we had a lovely time. A train show, looking at shops, lovely walk and dh treating me to meal out :) Housework is still waiting!!!

It was still a fairly low spend week for me though. £3.00 for coffee at the train show we went to in St Anns and £4 for some sweets in Fleetwood. (I also spent a fair amount on a suit for dh for wedding but that is out of wedding cash - so is accounted for and doesn't count towards my monthly spend) I have spent an extra £10 on bread, veg and milk too but managed several NSD's

    So my spends this month

    Household £10 Total £325.97
    Petrol £00 Total £100.00
    Clothes £00 Total £050
    Entertainment £06 Total £039.50
    GRAND TOTAL FOR MONTH £515.47

I am quite pleased with this as it hasn't been a typical month. It had my birthday in it and although I'd been taken out for several meals I'd used more petrol than usual and bought drinks whilst out. I also did a massive shop and the freezer is still fairly full. Writing everything I could remember has really helped me re-focus on my spending.

Weekend could be quite interesting - hopefully not too expensive but there are plans afoot ;)

I am hoping to have lost at least a pound when I go to sw tomorrow - I have done ok I think this week foodwise. I DO NOT LIKE paying £4.50 again to attend now I've gone over my target weight - 1lb loss will get me back into target and I am going to save the cash for ME!!!!

Not paying is the best motivator ever Beanie ;)

    Where has time gone to???????????

I was guest of honour at dd's hen weekend last week - had a great time and dd was very surprised :) Much food was consumed and a few drinkies too!!! It didn't do a great deal for my bank balance though - but it is what I've been saving for. As long as I am still in the red after the wedding and Christmas - I'll be one happy bunny. It should all be ok - although I haven't even thought about Christmas yet this year. I'm using store cupboard and freezer foods as much as possible at the moment - just buying fresh foods. It should all hopefully balance itself out!!!

I have all my outfit now except underwear - I have good old M&S vouchers for this - just got to get time to go and try some on. I squirm when I think of the price of the outfit BUT I'll wear it over and over - it can be dressed up or toned down and shouldn't date too much annnnnnnnnnddddddddddddd my dd will hopefully only get hitched the once AND I have saved for it........so I'm going to stop feeling guilty and ENJOY - not typical mother of the bride but it is ME!!

The bottom tier of the wedding cake is in the oven smelling pretty good, top tier and my Christmas cake are weighed and ready to go in the oven once there is room so it could be a late night waiting for cakes tonight.

Got to get a shirt for dh yet. I went with ds whilst he got his togs yesterday too - so nearly ready all round.

Just need to keep focussed with the spending and eating this half term and all will be well in Milannland

    Busy busy busy here again.

The wedding cake has been delivered and is looking pretty good. My outfit is complete (just waiting for my friend to bring my dress round after altering the shoulders for me) I've treated myself to a couple of charms for my bracelet to match my outfit and bought the most expensive earrings to match that I've ever bought in my life!!!!(but they were a perfect match) So now all we need to do is wait for Saturday and enjoy the wedding. Fingers crossed for it to stay dry - we know it'll be cold - but dry - rain and snow free would be good :)

I'll do whatever damage limitation is needed in the new year but am going to enjoy the wedding and then get on with thinking about Christmas as I have done very little. I am pleased that I have paid my cc off each month in full during the preparations for the wedding and plan to do so at Christmas - THAT would have been IMPOSSIBLE a few short years ago. So I am really chuffed even though I've spent lots :):):)
