    Hello,

it's been a while as I've had nothing to report & didnt want to repeat all the whingeing & ranting I've been doing over on SAID.

Have had issues with family, issues with wages, issues with work, nothing but dam issues & frankly have even bored myself with my moaning.

Never mind, wages have ( eventually & after some hassle) been paid so debt busting has resumed. I have to confess that CC3 has been in use :o but it has now resumed it's previous blance of £1,000. CC2 has remained stagnant at £2,000 & CC1 has been paid £50 to day so the total now outstanding is £5,580. Clearly this is a few hundred short of my target & had the parental promise re the car been fulfilled  then I would have reached my target of being under £5,000 by the end of the year.

It's not over yet but the latest family drama predicts that I am almost certainly going to end up with more debt.

I have achieved my NSDs target for November & according to my receipts & statements my total expenditure was £958. That does include the car costs & all shopping but no bills or rent.

No doubt December expenditure will be higher, but as long as it's not on the CCs & all rent, bills & funds are paid then I dont care :p

Hey Lula... well done on the NSD's :T:T I didn't manage one, well I don't think I did, I kind of lost interest after about 10 spend days

I think December is really hard for everyone and at least you're going into it your eyes open, you're aware it's going to be a hard month. I agree about all bills and funds being paid... That's the way I'm looking at things too.

:j to you finally got your wages.... to it being a load of hassle for you though.

Sorry to hear about you family troubles, I hope it gets better soon :A

    Hello,

Bowski thanks for your encouragement :A I really need to learn to let family stuff go over my head, people arent going to change & I'm not going to make myself ill again by stressing so they can just F*** Off because I am FABULOUS :p

Love your NSD sig by the way :rotfl:

I started brilliantly by having 2 NSDs in a row. This Work Job malarkey is a great way of not spending money during the day. Well, it was until today . School christmas fair today & I really cant bear them, hot stuffy, screaming kids & pressure to buy stuff I dont want :( Saved by DDs Bessfriends wonderful mum . She offered to have DD for tea after school & take her to the fair & bring her home after so that I could go christmas shopping :T. I hit town about 3.50 & almost slipped into buying a gorgeous bag but reason & sense kicked in & I held back . I now have almost everything for DD apart from a few stocking bits & stuff that will be delivered or is reserved for collection later :) It's a relief as I was getting a bit panicky with only 2 more days to shop without DD in tow.

I havent even totted up my present budget yet as I just paid for everything on my debit card. I do know that today I spent the best part of £200 . An irksome £75 of this was in Tatco, but £20 was on drrrrrink & I now have enough cleaning, washing, toiletries etc stuff to last until the new year. There were many bargainous itmes & bogofs too so we're well stocked for while, I might even manage not to go to Tatco again until next year ( apart from fuel) :j

I also returned the clothes I bought last week so dont have to declare them as they were merely transient purchases ;). i have about £10 left to spend & have been thinking very carefully how to spend it. If I decide to go to the christmas do then I already have a dress to wear, & leggings & boots but could do with a black dressy type cardigan or shrug type thing, so my challenge is to find one for about £10 . Or I could try to borrow one & with the money I save, get something else ;)

DD is off school tomorrow ( inset day ) & I have warned her that I may well not get up in the morning, at all.

My online christmas shopping should have earned me about £10 through quidco & I still have £20 of amazon e vouchers to spend thanks to surveys :D.

I topped up the funds today & am pleased to report that I now have £70 in the Car Tax fund, £120 In the Gas & Electricity fund, £45 in DDs clubs & hobbies fund & £ 25 in the clothes fund ( hers, not mine :()

So tired now, might have to have another G&T to sustain me while I wander around the diaries ;)

You're doing so well, Lula. Glad you've managed to get the presents sorted. :j for DD's bessfriends Mum.

Loving the 'transient purchases' :rotfl: I make quite a few of those myself. Why is it only when I get home that *some* sense resumes??

I have to say the bag sounds lovely. I'm with you on the silver fixings, much prefer them to gold/brassy looking ones...hard to find now though  Maybe see how you go and get it in a few weeks if you still love it?

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

Hmmm, that was my plan, great minds eh ;) So true about the scarceity (sp?) of silver fixings, that's why I had to grab Ruby the Red when she appeared. ( Yes, I am a graduate of the sarahb school of justification)

I think you should get it:o, I too only wear silver jewellery and the bag sounds lovely and you deserve a treat for wearing yourself out doing two jobs at the same time, if you can't treat yourself as a reward for getting a new job then when can you? If it looks like it will wear well then you should get it and see it as an investment:D

    Thanks sarah :iloveyou:

I dont have an opportunity to go shopping alone again until next friday - no way will I get a bag for that price past DD without is costing me more in hush bribery. If it's still there next friday & I still love it then I might have to show it the way home ;) I guess the fab brown suede boots for £120 in Faith is pushing the reward a bit too far ...
  • Hi Lula,

Thanks for the post on my diary :D

I agree with Sarah, go on and treat yourself for a change.

Well done on the Christmas shopping what a great mum DD's bestfriend has, hope you enjoyed the sanity lol.

    Catch you later.

    Tea

  • Oh hurrah for Lula, am so glad I'm not the only one who does the 'transient purchases'/ bulimic shopping thing :j. I also do the 'grab it and carry round shop then see if I can put it down again' thing, it's sort of like feeling I've bought it and if I find I can happily leave it then I probably didn't really want it. BUT if you're still thinking about it a week later then you DO want it, and if you want it that much then you'll get loads of use and pleasure out of it therefore should buy it. :D See, now you're outvoted!

Can we start a pressure group for silver fixings? (another silver girl here).

Re. dressy black cardi/ shrug thing, H&M have/ had a very pretty, delicate crochet wrap in black or cream for £6.99 - it looks a lot more expensive and feels lovely. (I bought the black for a friend and the cream for myself but I think I might have to get the black one as well after all.)

    Hope today's been good
