It's been a sober day here; admitting to being back up to £4,000 in debt has been a bitter pill to swallow. I have no regrets about the spending, I'm just not quite sure why I didnt consider it real debt .

I could have just secretly paid the Barclaycard off & no one would ever have known. But that's rather like when I kidded myself that because I only had a couple of cigarettes a day out in the garden when home alone, that I wasnt actually smoking :o.

I've redone my snowball which sadly now says it will take me 11 months to pay it all off, as to clear it by the end of March when my 0% deal runs out would mean paying £125 a month & that aint likely to happen :(.

    Another 11 months of home-job = :eek:_pale_:mad::cry: x 10
I just cant bear the thought of that, so I need a new budget & a new plan. It's coming up to new diary time of year for me so I'm racking my brains for a new title at the moment.

I'm due a very heavy day at both work-job & home-job tomorrow so heading to bed now.

    Woo hoo :j

That's home-job over for 2 lovely weeks now :D I actually havnet earned much at all this week, but will cover all the cash funds which is what I needed.

I finally had a call from the Tax credit peeps to verify my request to change bank account details :T.

I didnt get any of my work done today as I spent the entire day sorting out other peeps problems :(. I need to do handover tomorrow but am now behind schedule. It's rubbish timing as Gropey Boss is due back from hol tomorrow & I was hoping to leave him an impression of calm but firm efficiency & expertise ... rather than thinly disguised meltdown.

I might be able to get DD into sports camp for one day on friday which will give me that extra time to get it all together. It didnt help that Goblin announced she was having the afternoon off & sauntered out at 12.30 leaving me to deal with all accounts queries as well ..

Dreading that Project Stress 2 is gearing up while I'm on hol which will leave me a bit clueless when I get back, but glad that the Project Manager wants me to take on my previous role as Highly-Annoying's replacement leaving him to continue with the current project which I want nothing more to do with. The clients are a nightmare & I actually prefer to deal with a higher stress level ultra needy client who at least knows what they want.

Anyway - I got home to discover 3 confirmations of direct debit change so "Well Done" to Virgin Money, Virgin Media & Veolia Water for being on the case so quickly & also to Lovefilm & Child Benefit dept who were the only peeps who had an online facility to change bank details.

Had to whizz to the co op to buy some stuff for the Camp party tomorrow & have decided not to count that stuff in my grocery budget - it will come out of my personal spending money - but I also spent £6.42 on groceries so now have £ 24.93 left. No more packed lunches to cater & have quit good food stocks + I will now have time & energy to make stuff from scratch so I might just manage it .

Need to have a bath & then head to bed so I can be on top form tomorrow,

    night night
    xx

Shoe Gal, what on earth are you doing up at crazy o clock ? Please dont say you'd just got in from a run or the gym

Well I'm feeling quite odd this evening; very unsure of which direction to go in, or even what I should be aiming for out of life. For so long 'life' has been about getting through each day; just surviving each one by getting every necessary task or chore done has been an achievement & I suddenly feel utterly lost & unsure tonight.

I will never have enough money to be able to buy a home on my own, fact.

I will never have a high flying career or a great salary, fact.

I will never have a happy family with OH,type set up, fact.

So, what the heck do I aim for ?

    Any ideas considered :D

You need to consider question, not answers...

"Why?" - why do you want them, why can't you have them?

Your reply is appreciated Z, but tonight is not the right time for me to go & lie down on the amateur psychoanalysts couch.

My head is reeling as more realisations emerge from the depths of my subconscious & much as I would love to share my impending mental & emotional meltdown I am still just about sane enough to recognise that I may come to regret it later.

I do however, need to express some of todays events so let's begin :

DD created a fantastic outfit for the party & did her own make up too which was really really good. I enquired about the possibility of her attending the sports event on friday & was told that it couldnt be pre-booked now & that the 11 places left would be given out on a first come basis. I really couldnt be bothered with that so just accepted that today would be my last day at work & therefore agonizingly tiresome.

I arrived to discover that the lovely guy who I worked with on project stress was there so we had a coffee & chat :)... he is now fully recovered from the traumas of Project Stress & raring to get started on the next one, whereas I feel ragged around the edges & slightly unhinged :o. I am so pleased that he is happy again as he really had a hard time & worked some ridiculous hours.

In the office I discovered that Goblin had undergone an overnight style transformation & was dressed as a Lula clone . It was somewhat scary & really unsettled me. I do think it coincided with Gropey returning from his hol & was quite deliberate & had I not been so anxious to get everything done I would have found it amusing & flattering.

Highly-Annoying decided today would be a fab day to be highly awkward, highly obstructive, not provide me with any of the info I needed to complete my tasks & went off-site without saying he was going so I couldnt hand over to him  I rectified that little situation by emailing him everything I hadnt completed & handing over to Gropey instead :p.

Cockney-Rebel decided he was far too busy & important to deal with any of his clients which meant I spent about 2 hours trying to sort problems out & taking messages for him instead . I did however catch him on the phone to the airline quibbling about the cost of flying his Dads golf clubs on holiday. Yeh really too busy, right. I'll remember that. He also held off on all the info I needed until the last possible minute & told Gropey how hard he'd been working & that a new computer system would prevent me from running around like a headless chicken .

This from the guy who (yet again) got so hammered at the weekend that he didnt rock up until midday on monday. Oh well, I have a permanent contract & he doesnt, he has an official warning for not turning up on time & I dont :p.

I need to let it all go & just forget about the place.

I have no schedule of events for the next 2 weeks & yet I have so much I want to get done. After picking DD up we both remarked that it felt a bit odd not being on our way home to pack & get ready to go away. I've spent hours looking for last minute deals both here & abroad & there's still nothing I can afford without using a CC.

It's been a NSD & thanks to home-job wages I have topped up the cash funds :

    Holiday spends - £ 250 :D
    Childcare - £ 145
    DDs clubs/trip etc - £ 120

My mobile DD is due out tomorrow - from which account, remains to be seen ... it was expensive this month £18.55

The Virgin Media bill was also expensive £50.53

Combined, they have cost £20 more than I budget for :(.

It's all going Pete Tong & I dont know how to stop the drift.

The answers are not for me. The answers are for you. There is no implication that you need to share.

Imitation *is* the sincerest form of flattery...

It'll be interesting to see if Gropey gets gropied...

You don't need to pack because you're on Staycation, its the new going away don't ya know. All the excitement of the holidays without the packing or the sitting around in the departure lounge wondering what you're going to do now that the airline has gone bust.

I bet you could fill two weeks on your own doorstep with no problem whatsoever visiting places you've never been before with v. little cost except fuel to get there and parking:

As for the Goblin dressed as a Lula clone thats, well, priceless really. Think how uncomfortable the poor girl must have felt. Like she was the only person at work in fancy dress. Its one thing changing something about yourself to suit yourself but an overnight Gok Wan revealled at work is not the action of a sound mind.
