:TWell I realise you can only go from your experience and I am sorry to hear that you have met what appears to be only one type of director, and banker and politician.
As I have said, more than once on this thread, I think the OPs employers will have trouble making this stick.
I have no idea why you feel you have to resort to personal insults, once again. Perhaps you could try to deal with the points raised by the OP and subsequently discussed on here rather than try to turn this thread into a workers against the bosses/bankers/politicians/the system rant
im glad they will have toruble making this stick. really glad. i hope the OP'er is too. i wish i could come to his workplace and show the boss who the real boss is, that is the real bosses are the workers. if you dont treat them right they dont work. and MR.big loses money.:rotfl::rotfl::p:T0 -

From what the OP posted I think he was in a garage rather then filling up at a "works" pump as it were.0 -

Not sure I understand how you could or would be able to do that?0 -
at least we still try and fight for better terms and conditions. we try and band together. were going on strike soon and hahahahah your mail will be late. now if you change your mentality from your employer holds the power to the worker holds the power then things will get done in your workplace. ALWAYS support the strikes if your a worker.
Striking is the last resort and it is sad when it gets that far, for everyone involved, but I support the rights of anyone to be able to use that sanction.
I have in the past supported strikes and I have also been against them so I would not be able to say that I would always support a strike0 -

the only people it isnt sad for is the management team and the scabs. i like to rebel though so i always love a good strike.0 -

The whole union thing has had it's day imo. Years ago they served well in achieving better working conditions etc. Nowadays they seek unrealistic goals. The old RPI is x%, therefore we want x% + pay increase has gone out the window now RPI is at or near zero, yet still the TU's persist in pricing themselves out of a job.at least we still try and fight for better terms and conditions. we try and band together. were going on strike soon and hahahahah your mail will be late. now if you change your mentality from your employer holds the power to the worker holds the power then things will get done in your workplace. Do you also stand together and negotiate how to provide a better service for your customers who ultimately pay your wages?
Staff at all levels are, or should be workers and serve a purpose. Resentment of staff more senior than yourself does not change this. Without someone more senior taking the decisions and bearing the responsibility, how do you think companies would function?0 -
Oh well, I approached my employer and told him I was willing to pay for the error, but he couldnt take non-stat deductions from my salary. He agreed, and said he wouldnt do this without my permission, getting me to sign a form agreeing to pay back £x/month.
Still !!!!ed off I'm having to pay it back, but its sorted now and I'm not being forced into it.
On a plus note, I went for a job interview this morning and it went well.
Thanks to all who took the time to offer some input into my thread
