I thought "Excess Charge" was the term used by councils before decriminalisation.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Have now started getting letters from Brethertons Solicitors telling me they will start court proceedings if I dont reply and pay their 'fine'. They said they would do it without further notice yet sent me another letter after a week of me not replying!!

Waiting for the debt collector letters next...................

The only tickets you need to worry about are ones from the council or police, those need to be dealt with. ALL other tickets (which are invoices) can be ignored, they won't take you to court because they will lose, I will post a link from bbc watchdog in a minute for you, so you can for yourself.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Here is the video from watchdog. It would be useful if this was stickied on this forum by the way coupon as its a little bit of pain looking for it.
