Local Parking Security LTD Excess Charge Notice

Just had a ticket from this company, went down the coast today, paid in the first car park for a two hour stay, moved the car to another car park about 500 yards away and LPS had this car park and you could not use the other ticket there, unlike last year when both were the county council car parks

Fortunately I found this thread and guide on here, they can basically take a running jump, I was driving my wife's car
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
If they call it an "Excess Charge Notice" they are pretending it is an ECN which can by issued by councils still under a criminalised parking regime.
In my opinion that should be reported to the council and to the police.0 -
Actually the little envelope it came in has 'Excess Charge Notice' written on it, is that not allowed then?
Forgot to mention as well, they broke my windscreen wiper plastic clip when putting the ticket on the screen, going to have to buy a complete wiper blade now, was thinking about sending them an invoice for £60 for it LOL - can I do that by the way ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. That is still wrong in my opinion.
Does it also say "Excess Charge Notice" on the paper ?
If you claim against them for the wiper they will claim it was like that already - do you have proof that it wasn't.
I would just finance the new wiper from the money that that will not be being paid for this 'ECN'.0 -
Yeah it also says that on the rear of the ticket and repeated 3 times , right at the top, was going to upload to the site after they have written to my wife, together with the letters sentExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. Great, it's always helpful to newbies to see the chain of letters and the rubbish on the ticket.
:TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

In which case I would report it to the police and the council, this company is claiming they have the statutory powers of the council to pursue a criminal allegation.
I would argue that is is against the Fraud Act 2006 S.2 'Fraud by false representation' and against the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, numerous sections including inter alia regs 5, 6 and 7 which by virtue of Reg 3(5)(a)-(c)) prima facie amount to strict liability offences. So also report this to Trading Standards

From the PPC's website:-
Our parking management solutions offer owners of private car parks suffering from unauthorised parking and parking abuse, a cost effective, ethical and non confrontational solution to the problem through the installation of pay and display ticket machines and parking enforcement by 'excess charge notice' issued by our highly trained parking attendants.
I think they're banged to rights.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
I got issued with a 'Excess Charge Notice' 6 weeks ago and followed the standard advice of ignoring everything from them but I haven't heard anything so nothing to ignore.
No letters, no follow up
6 Weeks. Is this long enough to relax? :j0 -
Why would any tension be caused at all ?
See the above posts about reporting these criminal acts.0
