Well done on getting your CD collection all organised onto a proper database - I am now seriously impressed with you;)
I know what you mean about playing the actual CDs as it does seem pointless to have them and not use them. On the other hand, I don't think I'm modern enough to buy my tunes over the internet yet as, even though I am glad on the decreased impact it has on the environment, I have had enough problems with computers this past few years to refuse to trust digital media as a way of storing my music. If I lost my entire music collection as well as having a laptop/external hard drive collapse on me (etc.), I would hang myself!
BTW, I still have to get the majority of the music onto iTunes and my iPod, and this could take some time, especially as some CDs are a bit grubby and need a clean. That'll take forever!

I'm back from nail class, so here's the update:
~ Went to Tesco on my way home from getting my hair straightened by my best friend's yesterday as I needed to pick up something new to wear for last night (I have worn all my clothes to absolute death and have not bought anythings since about last October, which was just underwear, I think.). I got a long, black crocheted jumper (lovely!), a pair of black trousers at £7.50 (50% off
, and I also need them for the nail course as uniform), and a pair of stunning black suede ankle boots for £20, the likes of which I have been admiring covetously at work and which sell there for about £90 a pair. I'm happy, even thought it's money I shouldn't have spent as I had last night to go to, and I have a really posh engagement doo to go to next weekend, and I literally had nothing to wear to that, either.
~ Had a brilliant time out last night even though it cost an arm and a leg as I ended up getting into rounds by accident (there's only so much you can do to avoid them without looking like a complete tool, sometimes), and buying musicians drinks as a thank you as well. Couldn't be helped, really, without turning into a total social outcast, but isn't going to be repeated for a long time. Still, it was very good, and much-needed as well as much-appreciated as the birthday girl had some terrible news that day and was really happy that we had gone out and cheered her up.
~ Need to do some more constructive stuff this evening as I haven't done anything bar spend money for the past few days. Methinks a spot of nail work and playing music should do the trick. Please call me 'Pickle'

Went to the pub and spent £4 last night, and spent £35 on petrol for a full tank. Am utterly broke. Hmm. I think the budget may have been well and truly blown this month.
. Only 3 weeks to pay day.
BUT - good news - went to a different pub far-off and saw a cheesemongers. I came home and found the website as I really, really want to find raclette and reblochon cheese to make French dishes with, but they are impossible to find. It seems that I can get raclette cheese there for my raclette, but alas, no reblochon. Still, it's a good start!(I won't be buying any until next pay day, though.
)
Just finishing my bacon sarnie, then off to work...*Roll-eyes*Please call me 'Pickle'

Lidl and Sainsbury's also sell Raclette from time to time and it's no doubt cheaper than using a cheesemonger (although I'm all for supporting local businesses)0 -

Ooh, THANKS Ed! :beer:Trust you, you old foodie you!
Alas, at that website, you have to spend a minimum of £25 on cheese (), but it's nice to know if I ever need to. And thanks for the tip on the Lidl and Sainsbury supplies. Tell me, can you freeze cheese?!

Just got a letter from ghd saying that they lost my straighteners, but as a goodwill gesture, they are going to replace them on a likefor-like basis. I think that means they will send me out a working pair of old ones; mum thinks it means that they will send me a pair of the new ones. All I know is that they didn't come in the letter, so I shall have to wait and see. Mysteriouser and mysteriouser! *Insert Sherlock Holmes smiley here*
Also, yesterday was a NSD (I think that there may be a fair few of these this month!), and my new thing I'mm doing while ont he computer is loading all those CDs I own onto iTunes. I seem to be doing pretty well, but in the grand scheme of how many I own, t'is but a drop in the ocean. It will probably takes about two weeks, I think. We shall see. Please call me 'Pickle'

Interesting day: I think the postman may have tried to deliver my new ghd's today while I was out as there was a note through the door, but I can't collect them until tomorrow morning, so guess where I will be at 09.01 tomorrow?!
Had a phone call from an agency offering me a job interview tomorrow so I had to buy a new blouse as my existing ones don't fit. :mad:That's more money I don't have: great! Healthy eating, here I come! I also bought two bras for £16 something as I desperately need some, especially a white one. That's £31.?? spent overall today. Grr!
Good news: going back to Tesco tonight to return two pairs of pumps that I bought when I bought the other clothes and didn't have too much time and needed a second opinion. (I never mentioned them as I knew they were going back straight away.)
Even better news: someone has bid on my MP3 player for £100, and there are 9 watchers, so it could conceivably go for more. Yay! :j I really, really need that money this month, so it will be far more than welcome. I shall have to be very careful with it.
Better get off to Mr T's.Please call me 'Pickle'

 Yay, what a lovely suprise a nice new shiny pair of GHD's, how much are you betting that they just throw away all the broken ghd's that are sent to them for repair, because there are not many people who would ask for them back if they have to go to the trouble of getting a postal order. I bet they were shocked when yours came through and thought oh damn we'll have to give her a new pair after all :rotfl:
Good luck with the interview tomorrow

That's my theory as well! :rotfl: Too bad for them I'm not the type of girl to be put off by such trifles! :rotfl::rotfl:
On a more serious note, I just tried on the blouse I bought today (I bought it as Costco which means that you can't try it on there) and it looks hideous: it's massive, there's nothing to pull you in at the waist and it has a really masculine collar. All in all, it's a bloke's shirt in the wrong department!I'm going to have to take it back, and try to get something else instead.
