Thanks. And I wholeheartedly agree with the above, except when you fell 'stuck', as I think I have a bit this past while. I'm looking for the solvent to 'unstick' me! ;)

Oh Pickle, Im so sorry you feel stuck, actually thats a very good description, "stuck". I think I can empathise with you right now. Just take care of yourself Pickle. One day at a time! Take care.

sorry to hear what you've been going through. I'm so glad my mother didn't do the whole you can't invite x,y & z at our wedding, but then she's the type who stops talking to folk, she doesn't like to do confrontation. she's also insists that certain children/babies don't exist because she hasn't been officially notified of their birth ( i mean how silly can you get?)
  • Oh dear, Poor you Pickle. Once again I find myself feeling thankful for my lovely straightforward ordinary family. I think you're right about needing to escape from home now mind you, and who knows, maybe your relationship with your mum will improve as and when you're not together so much?

I think it will: we have been through a lot (much of which I can't discuss online but which would make the average Eastenders storyline seem tame by comparison) in the past two years, but I'm not thinking about the party etc. for the minute as I've had one hell of a busy week and am shattered tonight. I'm sure I'll be back to fill in tomorrow, but felt it had been a long time since I had posted, so I should say something, however small, rather than letting other people keep my thread going! ;)

Back from library and doctor's surgery. Am back in work at 4 and room needs a bit more tidying and organising.

Have had one hell of a week last week: work, doing a bit of cooking for a friend who'se dad is very ill, running around a lot, visitors staying at the house unexpectedly (nice, but time-consuming) etc.

As a result, my room got into THE biggest mess you have ever seen: it was unbelievable! Spent much of yesterday tidying it up, and removing the massive pile of clothes which was sitting on my TV to washing machine (nothing really needed a wash, but it had been there for so long I felt the need to send it for another spin), or desk on other side of room. The only problem is that I now realise that I have WAY too many clothes and need to get rid of some, the only problem being which ones? I only have a few which no longer fit (OK, that's a lie, I probably have a lot which don't fit, or which I will realistically never wear again, but only a few which are 2 dress sizes less than me and I have NO intention of getting rid of as they are a) designer; b) going to fit me SOON ()! Plus, a lot of the room is taken up by ball dresses etc. which I don't want to get rid of as they are classic and will prove useful in years to come. (The only way I can see myself getting rid of them is if I lose a lot of weight and keep it off, then I can sell them and justify getting some smaller ones. :D) This is going to take ages, but is necessary.

Speaking of which, I am soooo unfit and healthy it's scary. I really need to do something about it as I just can't go on like this. Working bloody awaful shifts does not help in the scheme of eating healthily, but I can do better than I am doing, and I need to start taking regular exercise. I feel that it is so much harder to do all this living at home, but I don't want to find myself blaming living at home for this, then when I move out, find that I follow the same pattern and have just been using it as an excuse.

I need a life overhaul. I need my room and my life sorting out. I'm also getting very annoyed at doctors, but that's potentially another story for another time as I may yet be getting angry about nothing.

Right, on with the tidying. Via lunch.

Good luck with the tidying pickle, I thought I would keep you posted as you asked about my hubby's overdraft, his new account was set up with an overdraft of £600 I think that they just match whatever your current overdraft is because he was £600 overdrawn at the time and when I set my account up I was £700 overdrawn and hey presto my overdraft is £700, I have recieved £50 cashback via quidco and £100 cashback directly into his account so well worth it.

    Total Debt: [STRIKE]£24,359.79[/STRIKE] £16,452
    debt reduced by 32%
    Debt free date: May 2019

Right, well I think it is fair to say that I have had an absolutely CARP month, money-wise, and things are unlikely to get any better as I am about to get paid the lowest amount of money I have been paid on a very long time. However, I am currently giving myself a kick up the financial backside and when I have done some scribbling and some calculating, I will be back to reveal my ponderings...

    First things first...dog walking.
