Hi Pickle just caugt up with your diary, you have been busy! Hope you get some "me time " soon.x0

I think february must be a bad month for everyone mine stinks, I'm finding it really hard to be frugal at the moment and am perilously close to falling off the wagon, it just seems really hard work. However, I think sometimes when you know that you have a really tight month coming up you somehow manage to get through it better than an average one because your mind is on money a bit more - good luck
Total Debt: [STRIKE]£24,359.79[/STRIKE] £16,452
debt reduced by 32%

I also subscribe to the 'February kinda sucks' theory, but at least it's mercifully short.
I think part of the reason for the general skintness and difficulty sticking to our goals we're collectively experiencing has something to do with the fact that January is usually a horrendous five weeks between payday month for most people. Once it's over I think we all expect to be rich and are disappointed when February comes and we're not0 -
Where I work February is worse than January due to the way our commission works (I knew it would be) so
to this pay packet!
Have been busy all day cleaning house from top to bottom, walking dog, making dinner, food shopping, reformating hard disk (that's now!), plotting and planning the next few days, going to the doctor's (twice!), going to the opticians...and therefore there is no new financial plan up to now, but at least I haven't spent any of my money!
Sat on sofa reformatting hard disk, drinking rose wine and watching stuff recorded on Sky+ until a more convenient moment (like now!). Am in work tomorrow at 12, and have lots to do either side of it, but I think a break is in order after a fairly busy day.
Financial plan still to come...Please call me 'Pickle'

It's official: technology hates me!
Got off the sofa to go to the bathroom and caught my foot in the power cable to my sata drive, thus dropping it on the floor. After putting it back on the table post big crash, it now appears not to be working. I'm not sure if it's the drive or the hard drive sat in it, but either way I have no money to replace the £30+ drive and the £100+ hard drive.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
IS THERE ANYTHING MORE THAT CAN GO WRONG, TECHNOLOGY-WISE?!Please call me 'Pickle'

IMD, I think the only wizards who could resurrect my drives would be Harry Potter or Dumbledore!
Can't belive it. Bad luck doesn't even cover it. Am asking some of the nice techies for advice before doing anything else. Need to try playing with the main external drive tomorrow to see if there is anything which can be done, but have had enough of this wit!!!!ery with technology.
At the rate I'm going I will need your payrise just to cover my hardware disasters!
Anyway, to bed. I'm really, really pleased for all your good news, despite my bad luck. Go IMD! :jPlease call me 'Pickle'

Poor Pickle - the computers are out to get you - now you know how Sarah Connor must feel
Was your external drive for backups, or was it your main HDD? Every time I read a story of technological troubles on the forums I mean to buy a mega pack of recordable DVDs to back up my essential stuff, but never quite get round to it. Queue reading a similar post on my thread in six months' timeI'm too cheap to buy them on the high street and I'm still scared of eBay after my recent experience of fraud.
Multiple trips to the doctors, exploding computers and other woes - fingers crossed for you that your outlook starts perking up some time soon.0 -
