Woah guys, I'm feeling like you think I'm an alcoholic or something!
It's hardly as though I wake up with a bottle of gin by the side of the bed! A few glasses of wine does not an alcoholic make...

Perfectly ordinary supermarket ones - whatever's white and reduced from £9 to £5 in Sainsbury'sEither there's something wrong with your fridge or you have the most perceptive palate of all time ever. We use an airtight stopper (two in a pack in our local Poundland) and the wine seems to keep just fine in the fridge. Red wine even seems gets better once it's been opened, had a chance to breathe and then gets stopped up for a few days...

Another one here who doesn't like the taste of white (or rose) wine if it's been opened for more than a couple of days. I think it's oxidisation....but don't quote me on that!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Oxidisation can affect the taste of wine, should be ok with a decent airtight/vacuum stopper tho.
Poor Pickle - we've hijacked her thread with a discussion on the finer points of wine storage
Working today Pickle?0 -
Strange times...work is freezing, other work is coming looking for me, busybusybusy...
1) Was in work again today and we nearly had to come home due to the water being frozen in the sprinklers. They sorted it out, but it's indicative of some of the problems it's causing. Parking's a nightmare as half of the car parks are closed and the outside ones are still badly snowed up so there's massive pressure on the bottom floor ones meaning that getting a space is very hard.
2) Had a random phone call this morning from an agency with which I had registered for a job when I was unemployed for a month last year: apparently my CV arrived too late into the application process for it to be considered but they kept me on file and are putting my CV forward for a job involving French which is considerably better paid than what I'm doing now. It's a start...
3) Bought a pair of jeans and pack of tights for Goddaughter's impending birthday. I can't believe how much tights cost for such little legs! Jeans were a half-price bargain, though.
4) Need some decent footwear to get me through the Big Freeze. I think I have some walking boots in the attic from my travelling days so I need to go up there tomorrow to get them. If I'm just hallucanating and they don't exist, I wonder if my trainers will be enough to get me through? They have a good grip and are what I have been using, but it would be nice to have them for a change. I'm sure they'll be fine. Please call me 'Pickle'
