Morning all :hello:
Not a lot to update you all on really...chicken pox still around - it has now got middle rugrat in its clutches - bit of a comedy moment today - attempting to drop him off a breakfast club, saw one spot out of the corner of my eye, then another, then another - hustled him back to the car and got him to lift his top...covered in nice fresh spots. So, early Easter holiday for him I think!
Wrote off to student finance yesterday in the hope that there might be SOMETHING they can give me grant or loan wise. Its a VERY long shot though, as I've already done a degree course back in the stone age:rotfl:and received a grant for it. BUT if I don't ask I will definately receive...nothing.
Am attempting to avoid buying the new Twilight film... but its only a matter of time...Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

You may find you qualify for a mature student's grant (if such things still exist - stone age graduate here too
)
As for Twilight - not my bag, but everyone in my office is obsessed with all things vampire - it's definitely the in-thing (Twilight is vampire isn't it?!)

Heh heh - dispatched OH to buy Twilight as a 'treat for senior rugrat';) - having seen on MSE where the cheapest 1-disk version was. He comes back with the 2-disk version - shame eh?? Its what I would have WANTED to buy but felt guilty to do.:D
Apart from that, I feel like sick-note anonymous here. Yet another day off fvrom the world - combination of rugrat no 2's chicken pox, and then fact that yesterday I spent the day huddled under a quilt feeling rough rough rough. Today I feel less rough - but have that draggy feeling where it feels like an effort to put one foot in front of the other. Fab understanding boss will always err on the side of caution (and tbh am slightly concerned that I could break out in pox any minute - thought I was safe because I've had it before but so has rugrat no 2)Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

I am being a complete whingey-whiner today (and yesterday) - how is it I can be really lovely to the rugrats when feeling rough - but just looking at OH makes me want to scream?? :rotfl:

OK - Something Has To Be Done - OH did the weekly shop at a well known supermarket;) - was not extravagant at all, and stuck to the list (well mainly:D) - but it came to over £100 - just for a week:eek: Good grief!
So, once my notice period is up (and reduced hours are beckoning) - I will be sallying forth to Messers Aldi and Lidl to see if we can get that down to a reasonable amount. I have to admit that I kind of lose the will to live if I attempt meal planning for a week (although never say never) so this is the first step.
Poor middle rugrat - very covered in itchy chicken pox.Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Afternoon everyone - happy happy day - everyone knows that I'm leaving work earlier than expected now - so I don't have to be cagey about anything. Tra la laaaa.
SO I am now on the home stretch.:jOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

A quick hello from Rupeworld.
Yesterday I finally got into town to do some of the MANY jobs that are piling up (still in chicken pox heaven here) - and I couldn't remember my pin number:eek: Its been so long since i brought anything with my debit card that I had to think long and hard about what it was:rotfl:
Seriously - things REALLY have changed! Its a bit weird though - especially as I know my 16-digit card number off by heart because I went through a slighlty obsessive phase with telephone banking;)Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Hi Rupe,
Thought I'd come and say hi - your life sounds as hectic as mine!!
Although I'm not planning on going to uni, but I do have 3 "Rugrats" who are ill ALL the time, we're just going through a bit of a life change at the moment. I've just landed a really good full time job so hubbie and I are swapping and he's gonna be at home with littlun every day while I'm out earning a crust!!
Can be sooooo scary making such a change, hope everything works out for both of us.

Hi Judi and welcome to Rupeworld Cuckoo:hello:
Am just about to leave work - has been a bit hectic (to say the least) here over the past few days. Trying to cram 16 hours into 8 or 9 is not the least stressful thing to try...but tra la laaa Hot Cross Buns tomorrow for breakfast!:j (although I have to go and buy more because I scoffed a packet to myself yesterday and today)
Will update later...Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side
