Well the examiner phoned on Friday morning, it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd been expecting.

We've got a 17 year old caravan and yes, they're taking it but hey, it was to be expected...............think my car's ok as it was bought by my father in law and I'm just the registered keeper.

He didn't even go into my SOA..??

Also he told me that it wouldn't go in the local paper as they 'don't do that anymore'. So as it stands now I have to email photos of the caravan over to him and they'll sort it out from there.

Fingers crossed and hopefully that's that!:D

hi J-9, do you know how much the caravan is worth? as it may be worth more to the OR if you make an offer to buy the caravan back to save them all the hassle of having to take it and sell it. Thats if you would still like to keep it??

it's good its not in the paper anymore, hopefully thats it all sorted out now.

    Hi Donna,

Yes, we'd love to keep it!! Thing is although it's pretty old, it's in great condition......by the book I think it's possibly worth a little over a grand.

The examiner said that the agents would assess it and if it's 'sell-able' they'll take it and if not a 'third party' could make an offer and if not they'll 'dispose' of it!! It is likely that they'll sell it. Damn it!!

But I'm not too upset really, I expected it................and ultimately there is always some sort of price to pay. If it's only the caravan then fair enough.

My hubby is more miffed that they're taking his wreck of a bike, which is off the road, no MOT and needs hundreds of pounds spending on it. As it stands it's worth nothing but scrap..........they're going to 'dispose' of it. We're trying to get that back for him, cos it's worth nothing to anyone but him............

Ooh, that would be interesting, I have been waiting for an outraged call from my parents but if it truly doesn't go into the local paper then maybe that call will never come........
