    Morning all!

I am exhausted this morning as yesterday was mad...

6am - up and getting ready for work, feeding cats and general internet tomfoolery
9.18am - train to Glasgow (Later one to save The Company £8)
10.30am - begin learning VBA, Excel and Access. Brain hurts.
4.30pm - give up and go to Primark. Now own All The Socks I Could Need (Including one pair of moo-print slipper socks :D Was very good and didn't buy cow-print jammies though)
5.30pm - met friend for dinner in Glasgow
6.45pm - got on train to Edinburgh, slightly nervous after delayed departure due to engine issue
7.45pm - arrive in Edinburgh. By this point I've been in heels all day and my feet are broken. Get bus to other end of town to the one I live in to celebrate my friend's birthday.
    10pm approx - Eat cake :D
10.45pm - Get on bus. Bus goes a different way to the way it went when I last took it (Admittedly about five years ago). Panic. Bus eventually goes the "right" way.
    11pm - Change buses.
    11.20pm - arrive home
00.45am - finally bed down for the night

So, accordingly I feel poo :rotfl:

Today I plan to go to work, come home and that's about it! I'm meeting my folks for lunch before they head to a wedding in the Borders and tonight I might tidy out some junk from the house. Not sure yet.

Hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day :D

So I remember to update my spreadsheet:

    £2.60 = Coffee
    £8.97 = Dinner out
    £8.17 = Primark (Mainly socks!)

Also check that I update Monday's...

Busy times again and you were very good not going absolutely mad in Primari. I saw some gorgeous slippers in Asda last week - £10 they were but they were amazing! Pink and soft and fluffy and fleecy and then were knee high - little bootie ones. I had no money but OH offered to lend me a tenner for them, but as I am "be good" mode just now, I declined.
  • Morning!

I am heroically tired today and have to go to Glasvegas again for work (Pointy, if I keep going over this often we really should meet up for a cuppa! I need to find cheap coffee houses :D)

Yes indeed although I can't guarantee cheap coffee but there is a little place down one of the many lanes we have here that does excellent cake and coffee and is not one of the large chains. Woot for independent coffee shops.:j

Glad you survived your trips to Glasvegas, shame about the trains they have been pants for a while and things don't look to be getting much better. Good luck with VBA and excel, it does wonders when you know how. OH is always going on about VBA not being a "proper" programming language but then he is a computer nerd so we ignore him as his world is different from everone else's. :p

    Evening!

I'm still knackered, but have done the dishes and taken the bins out tonight so I'm feeling quite virtuous :A

My next mission is Xmas related....I have loads of things I bought last year in the sales, and they're all in a box, so I'm going to empty this and make a spreadsheet so I know what I have bought for who and this will make it easier to make lists of who to buy for next. If I'm good and keep it till next year it will save duplication too. Sometimes I scare myself :rotfl:

My get up and go has gotten up and left this morning, urgh.

Last night I spent a productive hour and a bit sorting out the Christmas box. I had bought so many random bargains in Boots this year that most of the presents for ladies are sorted and I just have to get family and a couple of little things for Mr Fresian. Oh, and peoples boyfriends/husbands. Men are always a pain to buy for!!

The birthdays start now as well - my brother and dad are in a couple of weeks and I have nine in total between now and Hogmanay

I'm still refusing to put the heating on, so am typing this in bed :D I am sporting knee socks, pink jammies and a muckle big jumper to assist in the warming :rotfl:

Mr Fresian has been a very Busy Student today and has cleaned the kitchen, done washing and changed the manky bed covers that I've been too busy to think about. He earned many brownie points today. Part of his Christmas present bundle arrived today (Courtesy of Bangzo and their free book of the day!!) I'm getting very excited about Christmas already and am trying to pull my finger out and start online shopping as the mail strikes rumble on.

I have done no comping since last week and have enjoyed the break. I will need to start again though, dull as it is. It would be nice to win a holiday :D

My immediate plans are to trawl through online banking and update my spreadsheets. After that I think it might be time for snoozing! Night all!

Spent ages typing this last night then the forums went down!! Luckily I copied and pasted...:j

Spreadsheets are all done and I have only spent £41 on "Other Sh*te" in October so far, which is pretty good going I think. Sadly it's because I have to be spending very little as opposed to having learnt the Ways Of The Budgeteer, but at least I'm keeping within budget.

Mr Fresian's student loan still isn't in, and I have a week until payday with £10 in the bank and he's going to cost £12 in bus fares alone  I think he'll be paying at least one day in pennies :rotfl: I'm going to get him to ask about hardship money from college but I'm not hopeful. I earn "too much"

On the bright side, I got an email from Virgin Media - as I have reduced my package and their billing system has you paying in advance, next month's bill will only be about £14 :j

In other good news, I have double time overtime booked for the start of December - with a small cash bonus on top of it. It's at 4am  And it's the day after the DFW Meet in Edinburgh so I will be [strike]still p*shed[/strike] tired when I go in I think!

I have done a new budget for next month (Estimated my salary on the low side as I don't want to become reliant on overtime as I have none lined up for this coming month...) and allowed for the reduced Virgin and Scottish Power bills and for cancelling my mortgage insurance. I have also allowed for a smaller budget for Groceries - down £10 on last month, taking it £40 from my old budget - and for Entertainment (Reduction of £5). Ideally I will be able to be frugal this month and blow some cash at the DFW Meet :A According to my budget for this month I will have £99 leftover as spare money....woo! This will be PADded into my savings (About half of it) and the rest will be used for incidental spends and Christmas stuff. I also need to think about buying presents for birthdays.

    If only life were free!
