I think the reason I haven't updated is that there has been little for me to tell anyone about!!

I did my four hours of overtime yesterday which was fine, then went to the supermarket and spent around £8 on Special K (Two boxes for three pounds:j), biscuits and a couple of bits for packed lunches next week.

I'm counting yesterday as a NSD though as I only bought from groceries. Enforced poverty is good for the NSDs.

We still haven't put the heating on, although last night Mr Fresian was jumping up and down to keep warm :o I think we'll crack soon and heat up the house a little.

Slow cooker dinner last night was a success. There was sauce leftover as well, so that's going on the meatballs I've taken out of the freezer and will be served with some pasta.

Plans for today are many, as my parents arrive tomorrow for a couple of days which means that I will have to have the house looking ship-shape. So, plans are:

    1. Get dressed. It might help :D
    2. Do dishes and clean kitchen
    3. Sort out freezer - dad is bringing down mutton for the freezer and I need to make room.
    4. Move carp out of living room and hide in spare room.
    5. Hoover and mop laminated areas
    6. Get Mr Fresian to hoover stairs
    7. Clean bathroom
    8. Relax :D

:rotfl:I do this as well. Eventually I may have to cave and tidy up the spare room! :rotfl:

Although I've been poorer than the poorest poor thing, I'm glad that the lodger is gone for occasions such as this :D

i had a thought - it hurt but I hung on in there.

How would you feel about a partial lodger. When I worked in Glasgow there were lots of nights when I would have loved a place in town just to crash for a night or two each week. Something that equated to the petrol and with winter coming fast meant I could avoid the 2 hour wach way commute or go to a company dinner and not pay £100 for a hotel. Also some contractors are being told to cut right back on their expenses so having a mates rate place would save them a fortune. You could set a minimum number of nights a month and top up if they wanted more...so £200 for 8 nights and £20 a night as and when they needed the room (just a top of the head price). You provide basic furniture and some bedding and agree to change it twice a month. They can keep a few odds and sods there and they can use your cereal / tea in the morning (I'd have picked up something at work to be honest as I'd simply want a bed). Given the size of the Group now, good chance of finding someone in-house who would jump at such a chance or maybe speak to the manager of the change teams.

End of idea - the pain recedes :rotfl:

But that's genius - saving money & hs own little exercise routine too! :D :rotfl:

Our spare room goes through stages of being more like a really, REALLY large cupboard! ;) It's going through one of them right now, as a matter of fact... :o
