It's nice to see you have your priorities sorted, Ms Freesian
I once made a Monopoly board & all the cards etc for a themed party. Took forever but it went down a storm@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? Feb = 5/14 Mar = 14/20 Apr = 6/14 May = 2/14 June 2/14 July 0/TF Aug 1/TFv Sept 6/TF Oct 4/7"NEVER DOUBT YOUR OWN QUALITY"0 -
Freezer now sorted. I told my dad I only had a small drawer spare in the freezer. I have therefore cleared out the biggest drawer.....my folks freezer could hide a body without having to chop up those pesky limbs. They have little understanding of the space limitations of us urban folk. I'm picturing a full sheeps leg in a carrier bag....0

£50 withdrawn from savings account today to clear my Halifax card before payday. Any leftover will be sent back to savings in PAD. I would like to start next month with a clean slate - no balances on any cards - and that will help me see how realistic/not the budget is.
Glasvegas beckons for work today - am going to try and be good and not spluff my whole weeks budget in Primark :A

I bet I've got stuff in there I can't even remember. Sometimes I'm scared to go in there
:rotfl:
I am convinced that things put in the spare room, breed as there always seems to be more and more stuff. Or else it is like gravity and small junk gets attracted to large junk leading to even more junk and it snowballsWeekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

:rotfl:I do this as well. Eventually I may have to cave and tidy up the spare room! :rotfl:
'twas a sad, sad day when our "spare" room became just a room - now i have nowhere to dump my carp!
P.S. of course, we wouldn't send DS2 back for the worldbut oh how i miss a dumping ground...

Morning!
I am heroically tired today and have to go to Glasvegas again for work (Pointy, if I keep going over this often we really should meet up for a cuppa! I need to find cheap coffee houses)
Yesterday I didn't go to Primark - the original plan was for us all to [strike]skive off early[/strike] leave in good time for our train and go there on the way to the train station, but as we were through meeting new team we had to look keen, meaning we left the office nearer four for the [strike]cattle train[/strike] commuter shuttle. I didn't get home until six - twenty past five being my normal arrival time!
I then had ten minutes to throw coffee down my neck before meeting my parents for dinner. Maw and Paw Fresian kindly treated me to Chinese (Woo!) and brought down boxes of "care package" food for me - loads of pasta and biscuits :rotfl: They also brought down last years sales bargains so I can start planning for the dreaded C day.
We ended up going to Tesco after dinner (My mum loves big supermarkets as she lives in the middle of nowhere) and I got the following *cue shameless C&P from the Grocery Challenge thread* Prices I should have been charged pre-whoopsie are in brackets :j
Doughballs 40p (£1.59)
Chicken thighs/drumsticks 87p (£3.49)
Organic burgers 75p for four (£3)
Wraps 32p (£1.28 - only one went through reduced though, the other full price, grrr)
Chicken breast - organic - 98p (£3.93)
Ribeye pork joint £1.26 (£5.04)
Sausages x 12 (Richmond thick ones too!) 71p (£2.86)
Chicken breast 85p (£3.41)
I also got some Christmas presents for the assorted kids I'm buying for - Crayola books with marker pens, reduced from £2.99 to 50p and comic book character mini-footballs reduced from £2 to 50p/25p. Mum managed to get Matchbox trucks reduced from £4.99 to £1.24 which she will use for the infant school Christmas presents (She's a primary teacher)
With my Tesco shop and my dad bringing me down some mutton, I now have no room whatsoever in the freezer. I will have to be very careful with the meal planning as I need to make sure I don't have leftovers to freeze! That will be a job for sometime when I have a free minute!
I'm meeting my friend in Glasgow for dinner tonight. This will be covered by the remaining funds in the entertainment budget. A good time to do a money update then....
Cash situation
Spends = £10
PAD = £15 (Only £10 left to pay on the laptop card!!)
Entertainment = £17.13
Groceries = £25.36 and should only need milk/bread/fruit before [strike]Doomsday[/strike] payday
Purse = £13.68 + £5 Love2Shop voucher and £5 No7 voucher
There are 10 days until payday :eek:
So, it's not as bad as it could be. Once the Barclaycard is paid off I will be sending any and all available funds to my ING savings account and this shall be used for Christmas. I really shouldn't have that much to buy, I just think I do. Something I have to do soon is inventory all the stuff I have for Christmas and figure out who it's going to.
Ok, longest post ever and I need to herd the cats back inside and get ready for work. Have a good day all!
