Morning f_f. Do you sometimes feel like you spend half your life number crunching? I know i do.

I think I spend more than half my life number-crunching! I do quite enjoy it though, and am very proud of myself for how frugal I have become :D

That lovely laptop of yours deserves nice bag to keep it cosy.#

    Is the bag purple too??
Nope, boring old black I'm afraid. It was hard to find a bag big enough as most were for the 15" models and mine is 17". It's good and padded though with loads of pockets for other nonsense.
  • Glad you are back from the grey toon (now that I know what this means!) as I like reading your diary and it has been rather quiet.:D

I must say I secretly like number crunching being a secret math geek.

Hopeful how come you get to colour in squares? This sounds like something I might want to try.

That may be because of the amount of time I have spent farming on Facebook recently :o

Tomorrow I'm through in Glasweegieland for work again until four thirty then running to the train and out to a Bat For Lashes gig, so I might not update tomorrow Pointy, sorry :D More updates to follow, honest.

Must go and sort my farm before bed :rotfl:

    Evening folks :D

I wasn't going to update tonight but after Pointy said that I had been quiet I got a little guilt!!

So, what has been happening? I spent the last of my money at the Bat For Lashes gig last night which was very good. I'm more used to going to see metal/rock bands though so it was odd to see someone so sedate.

I get paid on Friday (Woo!) and have printed off my paylip for budgeteering tomorrow night, the same night I am going to update my spreadsheet as I have been bad and not done that for a few days.

I received two of the Christmas presents I bought from the Gadgetshop bonanza and one of them is awesome (Massive box when I thought it was a little silly present.) It was this one and was going to be my Secret Santa for someone in my team, but it's too good for that :rotfl: KissJenn.....if Small Boy likes golf would you like it? Would only cost you a drink or two next time we meet up!! Otherwise it shall hide in my Emergency Stash I think!

I also got my dad a Terry Wogan book this morning on the Bangzo free book of the day. I was very impressed when I got Mr Fresian's one a few days ago. More details here... Some people have said that the books were battered, but mine had a tiny crease in it and nothing to marr the enjoyment. It's worth checking every day but some of the books are sh*te :D

I'm quite perky about Christmas now as I have gotten my mother's stuff, my brothers (His Daily Mirror Lego arrived the other day and is awesome!) and my dad now has the Wogan book. I will get him some half-price Thorntons choccies and that should keep him happy.

I have managed to get Mr Fresian a DVD and book worth around £28 total for £2.45 :j thanks to following the Ways Of MSE and the majority of bargainy things I have picked up this year are allocated to people. I just need to sort my travel home to visit my folks the week before Christmas and I'm pretty much good to go. Huzzah!

Hope my update was enough for you Pointy!!

  • Now I feel guilty that you posted solely due to my complaining :o

It is nice to hear how you are getting on. Also I am extremely nosey. I am jealous you are getting paid on Friday I have to wait until Monday. Plus I have to survive a weekend in the homeland. OH will start complaining I come back sounding like I belong in Eastenders.

I need to start my Christmas shopping I haven't started at all and need to get moving so I can plan and buy bargainous things.

Must say I had never heard of Bat for Lashes but OH advised they were for trendy youngsters so I should steer clear. I must agree sedate gigs seem odd you need one with mosh pits and people going mental at every turn. The gig I was at a few weeks ago had crowd surfing, something I have not seen since my youth as they usually throw people out but there were zen security that were nice about it and were just letting people back into the crowd.

It's good though as it's given me the kick in the erse I needed to keep posting!!

Bat For Lashes gig was filled with the trendies (SOOOOO many men with interesting facial fuzz and stupid hats) but also plenty of Radio 2 types (anoraks included!) so it was odd as it was such a mix :D

Were they the kind with pointy boots and skinny jeans? I find them very strange. In my youth trendy boys were hairy with big boots and occasionally wore eye liner.

Kids today eh. I am turning into a GOW.
