Hi MM
Just read through your diary and like it very much (I'm not a weirdo, just been up 4 times tonight with both kids and am now wide awake!).
You sound like a lovely person and I'm glad things finally seem to be going your way after an horrendous year. Maybe 2010 will be the year for you
I hope so and look forward to seeing your progress (and picking up a few tips on the magnificent amount of NSD's you acheive :T) *subscribes*
Take care, Mac xx0 -
Hey All :0
It's the 4th of Jan ... and yes, I too am hoping for a better year, after the crappy last one !
An update for anyone reading :
- Work - back in tomorrow after a huge 10 days off for the festivities. Not really looking forward to this as you can all appreciate, I'm sure, especially since I have one teamie away in South America, one newbie starting tomorrow, one off sick having had emergency surgery last week, and one caring for his partner as a relative has died today ! So, a very light team. Hey ho ........
- Money - still paying my DMP, but the rest of my budget is !!!!!!ed. Must review/re-think next weekend, and try to s--t--r--e--t--c--h what I do have to last me 'til payday
- DS - pleased with his Xmas gifts I believe, and his birthday is New Year's Day, so he is now 15 !! OMG ! - the time goes soooooooooo quickly
- Ex OH - spent most of Xmas and New Year here. I have no idea what is going to happen on that front. Bear with me ......
- Parents - now there's a thing. Just as I think all is well - it turns to poo !
My Dad has fallen out with me/is upset with me. This has meant that we have not seen him over Christmas, nor has he sent my DS a birthday card (he lives about 2 miles away). It has made me mighty cross because, as far as I am aware, there has been no argument, no change in my behaviour - nothing.
To ignore my son is very hurtful, I think -- even if Dad has a 'beef' with me -- there's no need to take it out on the boy. Grrrrr..........
My Mum is fine, as even-handed and non-judgemental as ever (parents are divorced and have been for 38 years, just to clarify) - settling into her new place, and enjoying the delights of online shopping and deliveries from
T E S C O. YAY ---- Go Mum, Go Mum !!
Right - I'm off after my brief visit.
Thanks for all the good wishes and for reading my boring nonsense -- and hoping that we ALL have a good 2010

Work - oh Lordy !

Love - at last, ex-OH and I have spent a whole weekend together without having a major fall-out, so am congratulating both of us !
Home - a mess (but at least I don't feel like I have spent each and every hour scrubbing, sorting, moving etc.)
Parents - Dad still ignoring me, and Mum still fabby - 'nuff said

Love and hugs to anyone reading

Sorry to hear works all 'Lordy!' - nice to hear the DMP is helping.
As to parents - lol - My DS is also eating me out of house and home - I can hardly keep up and there's hardly a pick on him.
Glad to hear you and OH getting along splendidly.
How's your crafting going? Love to hear about that as well!
What you going to do about veggies, tubs, garden or raised beds - what you thinking ? xxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi there fay - thanks for the posting.
Yeh - garden things.
I have sown a few lil pots of seeds - carrots and beetroot (and some flower seeds) - they are sitting on the dining room floor right now. Not sure if this right or wrong, but am hoping to plant out once they have become seedlings.
There is a sort of raised area to the left of the garden -- and was hoping to be able to dig all that out -- clear it of stones and other crud and sift it back in - mix with some decent compost - and do some outdoor planting there.
Do you think that sounds ok ?
Also have a few decent-sized pots on a very large patio-type area - with plenty of room for more and more pots and troughs !
Thinking of trying to grow some stuff in those. I did ok with spring onions last year, so there are a given, methinks.
Any advice you can give on what we would be good for starters ?
I've got a planting calendar and have tried to read (as much as time allows) on these matters, but not sure if am getting it right ........................
I'll rely on your expertise - LOL

Good morning
Sounds good - I'd get the raised bed sorted when you can and chuck in either some free compost from your local amenity centre (they all have do this as part of their recycling targets I think) - and then you can chuck some things in
Your tubs will be great for root veggies (beetroot, carrots, parsnips etc)
I've a big pile of seeds here you can have - Lidls have thier seeds in now as well and they are really good and really cheap.
I get confused with those planting calenders as well, depends on your area and how your particular garden is
Goodluck with transplanting your seeds somethings don't like being transplanted very much and prefer to be just started later in your tubs so just see what works for you.
Onions are great as well and you can buy 'sets' of them - mini onions in little bags, usually about 25/50 in a bag - you can pop them inbetween things or just put them in one area.
Its all great fun!!! Glad to hear you getting out and about with OH. I'll check I kept your address and get a seed parcel ready for you...........you got any tools?
And of course B&Q have that 15% voucher at the moment - handy for compost or anythign like that - grow bags are normally great for things - even emptying into tubs to give the soil in them a bit of a refresh.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
