huston...I honestly don't think you can help those pmt eat-eat-eat days, so don't beat yourself up, there are times when you just have to go with the flow!

I am moving past the worst of those now (51!!), although they do still happen, albeit occasionally (and I would never have described myself as a PMT sufferer but did have the almost uncontrollable physical need for carbs) but I can remember how I felt and I can remember the few days after, when calm and order was resumed, realising how uncontrollable the urge for consuming carbs at that time had been!

In later years, I have come to the conclusion, as you are finding, that that manic period was balanced by a calmer more controlled few days after and all in all there is probably a calorie equilibrium. If you can keep some exercise going throughout, I'm sure this is of positive benefit.

I saw 10st 10lbs over the weekend after my 10st 7lbs earlier in the week. Grrrr! this last bit of fat is being tenacious.
Ignoring my own advice about only weighing yourself once a week and looking for a trend across a month I did another weigh in last night :o:rotfl:
    10st 5lbs
Somehow 5lbs lighter than the weekend weight. I think it could be less fluids in my system last night compared to the weekend .... or may be there is an invisible fairy lifting me up and carrying a few lbs of weight :rotfl:
Bottom line it the usual downward trend seems to have continued with some bumps on the way.
When I get to 10st 3lb and I really will have to stop. I think October will be all about triming the last 1-2lbs and learning to maintain weight.
What surprises me most about the last 8 months is the really rather substantial amount of food you can eat and still keep calorie in take in check if you pick what you eat carefully.
Monday night I had an absolute mountain of food on my plate and felt quite full.
Small amount of pork steak, a couple of small potatoes and the rest was cauliflower (horray for cauliflower:D), cabbage, carrot, little bit of brocolli, a corn on the cob and a bit of gravy.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Feeling really good today :) I had a great walk, a different route, and it was a bit more demanding, something to think about. At the end though we bumped into a string of racehorses, so I got my heart rate up trying to get my dogs on leads before to much havoc was caused.

Also, has anone noticed the corelation between a little extra sleep and weightloss? I slept brillinatly last night and woke up feeling full off oomph, where as last week my routine was a bit disturbed. What I notice is that for me the etra time helps, but a lot more so if its via an early night, not a later morning, which leaves me sluggish, lay and heavy feeling.

I read somewhere that being tired and / or stressed affects body chemistry and makes it harder to loose weight / fat.
Also I remember reading this in the past:

  • Hi all!
DRAGON - in answer to your question, I take my 10 yr old DD with me and OH looks after DS, so that i can have some mother/daughter time with her that is fun and just the two of us! :D

Well done all of you that have lost this week - that's fab!!

Have'nt done so well this week i feel, it was my birthday on tuesday (43 ) and had burger and chips as a treat, but instead of my usual handful of chip's I ate nearly the whole bag! AND a Danish pastry for pud! And believe me I have suffered for being a piggy! All yesterday i felt so bad, wasn't actually sick, but had such a bad tum and pain in the back all because I ate too much! (fried food doesn't agree with me since i've been on a diet ), I should know better really.

Anyway, Not sure that i'm gonna weigh in as usual 2moro, but i probably will, was thinking of leaving it until wednesday next week as it's the end of the month and see if i can try and lose something! Oh well i'll see how i feel in the morning...hope that i'm not cheating!

I've lost 3 and a half pounds this week so my grand total for the month is about 11 and a half pounds :j

I'm actually starting to feel the difference a bit now which is fun :D I'm back in trousers that haven't fitted for quite a while!
