Well done Hethmar, Alexnikov, Poshstock66, Alared and Bronnie :D

I've managed to lose 6lbs so far this month (last weigh-in was last Sunday), which I'm really pleased about and my clothes are starting to feel much more comfortable now :j This week is going fairly well, I've managed to resist temptation on quite a few occasions, and haven't had any chocolate binges, which I'm really pleased about. I'm planning a couple of glasses of wine tonight whilst watching Strictly Come Dancing :D

After spending a few months plucking up the courage, I finally went to a spinning/group cycle class today and crikey - it nearly finished me off :o I knew it was going to be hard work, but I'm fairly fit, used to exercising and fancied a change from plodding away on the treadmill. I felt like I was going to throw up several times throughout the class. My legs were so wobbly when we had to stand up on the pedals that my right knee hit the bike and I've got a really nasty bruise now. I wanted to give up 10 mins into the class but I persevered and felt really pleased with myself at the end of the 45 mins :D Still pondering whether I can put myself through that punishment again - DH thinks I'm mad!

I weighed yesterday - and they said I was 16.5 (yay!) so, not 7lbs yet - but not bad at all considering I havent really been excercising much this month!!

still - we are having pizza tonight - so I have little doubt that tomorrows poo picking will have to be done at warp speed to conteract that !!!

Haven't checked weight or two days. I ate pasta (I react really badly to pasta, but my husband is Italian, so comprimise has to be made) and I'm been bloated and then my skin went berserk and I got stiff and grumpy.

I had a medical appointment this morning (for something less vanity related, but they took pity), and the bloating has prescribed for and I have some anti biotics for my skin. I'm quite sore today though and am going to take it easy activity wise for the weekend I think, concentrate on drinking lots. I'm hoping Monday doesn't show bad results from this when I weigh in.

Could you not cook the same sauce and have yours with rice and serve his with pasta Lost? Mind you I'm glad the medical profession took pity on you and helped out! Good luck for the weigh in.

I had put the two pounds back on BUT I also found out that my clothes weigh two pounds so I am actually two pounds lighter than I think (if that makes sense :rotfl::o:p)

we had pasta again, and I had my sauce over shredded cabbage, it was yummy. But then I adore cabbage!

LOL on the clothes. I weigh my self naked most of the time, but I'm sure my hair weighs a lot :rotfl:

I also like to use mashed/chopped/shredded steamed veg a lot as a base instead of spud/pasta/rice, especially if I'm really hungry....can give myself a nice big plateful of something steaming hot and still be virtuous!

The cauliflower 'rice' is my all time favourite with spicy dishes, curries etc. Whoever thought of that one is a genius! I also do turkey mince with lots of chopped up small veg (that breaks down) and thin gravy , slow cooked and serve it poured over a big plate of more veg. Yummy and very comforting! Carrot and swede mash and parsnip mashed are other good ones!

I bought a 3 tier steamer saucepan from Asda ages ago (£9) and find it easy and economical for cooking lots of different veg for one meal. Definitely encourages healthier eating!

Going to have my week 1 WI in the morning......!

Edited to update with my weigh-in results, which are the same as Friday so 3 3/4lbs loss in total for first week !!
Will try and hold out for just a once weekly weigh-in I think next week!

Hey, I lost a pound in 10 seconds this morning!

I stood on the digital scales and was disappointed to see same as last couple of days, give or take a few ounces.

Put the scale back against the wall. Thought, oh, how many ounces was that? Stood on it again and wow, Id lost a pound. Now how come? Why would the position of the scales make any difference!! So I got off and moved it another couple of inches and Id put on half a pound!

Yes. level makes a difference, so carpet can disrupt things, as can a very slightly unlevel floor board. :( I've tried my scales all over the house :o I think the best bet is to make sure your weighing in the same place.

Well it does explain really how I add a mystery couple of pounds some days. I shall have to make a line on the tiles in pencil and line it up the same place every day.
