Will you have me back please? :)

Since the early half pound a month threads I fell of the wagon. A lot has been going on, healthwise and life wise. I'm now having a new medical treatment which is having amazing results on pain reduction, proprioception and life, but...I put 11 pounds on in one fortnight! So, combined with general weight creep I'm as far from where I want to be as possible!

The half pound target is much easier than just aviding mirrors and weeping :(

So I'm in, if you'll have me back. (this month and for many more afterwards!)
  • Hi dragon, oooh i love a new thead............well here goes!! count me in! I would love to be a size 20 for (say's very quietly) christmas.

    Sorry folks!!!

    Happy September xx

Oh brilliant, start the month putting on 6 oz. I think those scales are just pure evil. Theres no way I could have put on an ounce. :(
  • i'm back in for this month, i will weigh myself tomorrow morning though because i forgot today but i think i'm at 10.3 still so thats 1 stone lost so far. I'm aiming to lose another stone by xmas, should be plenty achievable i think! i've had a good month or so off from dieting, exercise and calorie counthing so i'll be easing myself slowly back into it this month i think but hoping for a good few pounds off in that time. good luck to everyone else taking part this month :)

How often do you weigh, and always at the same time of day? I find my weight can vary A LOT accoding to time of day, water retention etc, etc.

Same here so I always weigh myself just before the evening meal about once a week. If I do it after the meal I can be 2-3lbs heavier.
6oz or less than about 1-2lbs is just background "noise" to your weight readings, a pint of water weighs more than 6oz.

Hmm, its less than a wee for me :o!

I can vary by a lot more than 3lbs over a day though! Bodies, are, if nothing else, amazing.

I have a question re calorie counter website and eggs.

I've just looked, and while I undrstand a poached egg is fewer calories than fried (no oil!) how is a boild egg so much more than either? More than double!?

edit: its 1 CUP of chooped boiled egg, not a boiled egg. Thank goodnes, and boy am I out of practise at food -maths!
