How did the meeting with the b*tch go?
It went ok thanks, I felt better after it, but she did deny some of the stuff. I know she'd deny it anyways I guess she's only human. She did hold her hands up in the end (I think she knew I wasn't going to leave until she admitted it) and said she was sorry for causing me and DD unneccesary grief and that in hindsight she could see that she could have handled the situation better
I'm utterly carp in such situations and I went on the families board for advice and they were all really helpful :AInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

DD was alot better the next day thanks, the teacher was asking her to do lots of jobs so as she's not apologised to her I'm guessing that was her way of trying to make it up to DD
We've had a fantastic day thankyou, I got spoilt as per usual....DD was very happy with all her presents too :j

Right I need to put down an idea in the hope that it will make me do something about it!
One of my debts is my overdraft which is £250, I don't really count it as an overdraft as I live in it. I stupidly pay £17 for my account! I asked my Mam ages ago if she'd lend me the £250 so I could rid of that account and she said she would so I NEED to ask her for it tomorrow, and then Tuesday I shall go into the bank and change accounts. The only benefit I have actually benefitted from is breakdown cover but I'll be happy enough to buy that myself and get cashback :money: I'll just set up a SO to my Mam's account for £20 a month. Only £3 more than I'm paying and at least it'll be reducing my debt.
My washing machine broke last week so I just don't know what I'm going to do about that :mad: My hair straighters broke in the same week:eek::eek: Luckily I got some new ones for christmasI'd been stressing big time and my Mam said it was so hard not to give me them, I'm glad she never though, I love my suprises on xmas day too much. I had tears in my eyes when I opened them coz I was shocked and it was such a relief to not have to buy any. I'd have HAD to buy them before a new washing machine
I'm sleeping at my sisters tonight as she has work tomorrow and I'm having the kids. This way I get to sleep in for longerAlso means I don't have to get dressed, I can just roll out of bed
I am just so lazy when I don't have work. Today I left my Mam's at 2pm still in my pj's and only got dressed at 5 because I had to go to a family party
My friend and her OH came round during the day and they'd been round the other day too when I was in my pj's all dayI told them one day they might be lucky enough to turn up and find me dressed. I also told them not to get their hopes up though!
I had a great night at my friends 30th lastnight, I went in a limo for the first time, we had ball gowns on it was great. The night was slightly ruined by my having a KFC for tea and because of my tablets I felt sick and had a really sore stomach. I had to stop drinking and was home by half 1  My own fault though for being a pig. I haven't eaten anything healthy for ages! I love christmas food, all the little nibbles and mince pies and chocolate  I shall get back on track in the new year though.
I need to make an appointment for the docs next week, it's been a month since I started the tablets and apart from a period of about 4 days last week I've taken them everyday. I've weighed myself at boots and lost 5lb so I'm hoping I don't put any on before I go back to the doctors, I'm scared she won't give me anymore, although I'm hoping she'll give me them for 3 months before they decided if I can carry on with them or not.
I got another £3 odd payment off the CSA so I'm looking forward to finding out what that's all about
I've withdrawn another £7 odd from my bingo so as soon as that appears in my bank it'll be going off my halifax CC towards my itemizer challenge
So not much MSEing going on but every little helps

Hi Bowski, glad you had a good Christmas, yay to the hair straighteners:j. I take it you have made up with your mum:D. Great idea about the bank account, think how much you will save over the year [STRIKE]to spend on shoes.[/STRIKE]
What is the itemiser challenge? Have seen it mentioned a few times but not sure what it isPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Hi Sarah...what you doing up so early
I've not been to sleep yet  I've been chatting all night
Yeah I've made up with my Mam but I've still not apologisedI didn't really have chance as she was speaking to me next time I saw her, would have been easier if she wasn't then I could have taken flowers or something. We do often fall out and everything's fine next minute but I just think swearing at her is the pits
The itemiser challenge is just paying off one item at a time... so on my credit card I have X amount of debt but £90.10 is Green Day tickets so that's the item I'm paying off. Then I'll move onto the next item. It just breaks things down a bit and is good to see things getting paid off. If I can work out how to post links I shall post the link for yaInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Thought I'd do a last post of 2009.
Well I didn't end up doing what I said I was going to do with my bank account, simply because my car went in for a service today and I was going to ask my Mam to lend me the money for that instead. I already had £55 to go towards it so didn't think I';d have to lend much. Anyways the service was £142  But my Mam said for me to pay the £55 and she'll pay the rest so I don't want to ask her to lend me the £250 now. Also as I'm travelling for at least 4 hours tomorrow I thought it'd be worth keeping for the road recovery since I haven't got round to sorting out my own yet.
I still haven't decided what to do re washing machine. I saw Argos had one for £135 which sounds good to me and it had good reviews so I was thinking of asking my sister to get that on her credit card coz that then gives me a month to pay her the money (she has it set up so full amount is paid and its a tesco clubcard so she gets points for every purchase). Other option is to see if currys/comet do them on hp. That means interest though and I don't like that option atall !
My £7.70 from bingo has now been paid off my halifax cc leaving the balance at £89.80 :j (still £726 on b'card though:o). I'm also just £2.60 away from another £10 from the other bingo site and that will be going straight off the cc's.
Barclaycard 0% period runs out in March so I'm going to have to pay a fair bit of interest on that but that will make me determined to get it paid off. I have a plan.... I have now paid up my Council Tax until April '10 and I usually pay it with my child Benefit so with Jan,Feb and Mar child Benefit I will pay it straight off the card which added to DD payment will be £300 off it
My New years resolution this year is to go to bed at a more reasonable hour. It won't be easy but it's doable so I need to be strict with myself.
I'm going to get myself to bed now, quite an early night :T I need it though as I've got a 4 hour journey to my Dad's tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a fabulous New Years Eve.... Best wishes for 2010 everyone :beer:Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Hi Bowski!
I'm so glad you had a good Christmas and enjoyed your friends 30th!
The washing machine from Argos sounds good, if you could get nicnacnoo to put it on her CC. Easier said than done I know, but don't pay interest unless you have to. My Mum is currently trying to lend me money to pay off my debts so I don't have to pay interest, which is great, but then I never find the same motivation to work hard to pay it off. It's tricky
It sounds like you're doing well with the Bingo, I may investigate... Well done on paying your council tax already! Could you move the Barclarycard to a 0% balance transfer card in March?
Have a lovely time with your Dad! Happy New Year and here's to the most fabulous year of 2010!
