Math, it's so good to hear from you. Poor little Miss Mathlett, I hope she is well on the way to recovery? Fingers crossed for Mrs Math.

Just off early to do the school run as I want to hit the post office first, sending off a snotty letter to Cabot Finance who want me to pay £13000 that my XDH has been trying to pay them for over a year now.

Then back to make another attempt to phone Black Horse to cancel the PPI on our loan, funny how their lines have been too busy to take calls all morning :(

FunkyFairy - you and me both. Just crawled back in after my bike ride and yes - my legs feel like goo too :rotfl: I look the part until I get about 3 miles into my ride. A fancy helmet, cycling gloves, glasses and padded shorts are all OK until you see the person wearing them is a delicate shade of cerise and swearing at the bike cos the gears won't change down in time for that big hill (you know, in the car, it looks like a small slope) However, I've downed a glass of water, blamed Nelski for everything (:D and why not) and now I'm about to hit the shower.

DS1's room remains untouched apart from a lack of laundry, the fish pie is unmade, although the fish is thawed and I still have a 3rd load of washing to hang on the line. However, I'm sure my heart has appreciated the workout and it was pure vanity that kept me going - I will have nice thighs, I will have nice thighs... it's a good mantra :D

MATH - I'm sure the Mathletts will be able to supply a suitable tender for the work - I'll pay in ice creams and subscriptions to a comic of their choice :D I may even provide lunch!! Can't say fairer than that eh? Good to see you back, nonetheless and here's hoping Mrs Math is sucessful job wise and the various family members recover soon.

Best go and wash my ears before PP and BRzl start nattering - I'd advise you lot to do the same :D

moggins - sometimes they take the avatars away when the site is slow. They are still trying to rectify the speed problems I think.

    Afternoon all,

The vets have just phoned to say my kitty has had her operation & has come round from the anaesthetic OK, though she's still a little woozy. She can go home tonight though. Hopefully she'll soon start feeling much better now the bad tooth has gone & all the others are cleaned. Thanks cha97michelle for the scrambled egg tip. I'm sure that will go down well especially as her mouth is bound to be tender.

Our new upstairs neighbour has asked us up for some food later on, so not sure what we're getting but will be nice to be cooked for. Also going to a friends tomorrow evening, so having a very lazy week cooking wise as boyf cooked dinner last night while I was out (pork & apple casserole. Had the rest for lunch today, yum).

Yes Shez, I am doing the Race for Lide. I'm just running on my own. All the sponsorship money goes to Cancer Research. I'm running in memory of my dad who died in April 2004, and my grandad (dad's dad) who died in June 2006, both from cancer. I did it last year too & is a fairly easy distance to run.

Don't know about it being the hottest day of the year. I went outside to sit on the benches to eat my lunch but came in after about 10 minutes as I was freezing! Hopefully we are on the way to warmer days though.

Might be that harmless way of describing a cat that begins with a p and ends in a y, which the computer thinks is rude!!!!
