Very very quick one from me for now...

am off into town on the same train I would normally catch to w**k, to get my bargain haircut at T&G Academy. need to pay a cheque into the bank, and will be off to PP's place for a cuppa later. She will be the first person I've properly "met" off MSE :D

    Bye for now

    Morning all :hello:

Thought I'd better post on here before my little charges come into school and before I do a stack of photocopying.

I seem to have developed a cold, which is apparently making me sound like Darth Vader (sp?). Thanks! I also have a headache, so the children will be getting the wrath of me AGAIN today. ;)

Other than that, very little has actually happened to me. I've just signed up for a savings account though so that OH and I can actually SAVE for our holidays as opposed to panic at the last minute where the money is coming from  He's set one up for his car too. We should be getting alot more efficient on these savings!

Bargain Rzl - I hope that your hair cut is a success.

PP - tell us all what it's like!

Better go for now. Catch up with you all later.

    www.bbc.co.uk/happinessformula
(there is a happiness test you can take, i havent done it yet)

programme is on BBC2 tonite 7pm.

The list of 10 things to do to make you happy (as said on jeremy vine show) are:

    1. Plant something and make it grow
    2. count your blessings, at least 5 every day
    3. have a 1 hour conversation with your partner every week
    4. give yourself a treat
    5. telephone a friend
    6. have a good laugh each day
    7. take regular exercise
    8. smile at strangers or even talk to them
    9. cut your tv viewing by half
    10. perform an act of kindness every day

    have a "Happy Wednesday" ! :)

    Morning Guys

Didnt sleep too well last night, but nevermind!

WM is on and washing will be hung outside in the glorious sunshine. DD has emptied DW. House is pretty clean and tidy still:D Toilet cleaned. Sides in kitchen need a quick wipe down though.

Have BargainRzl coming round this afternoon for a cuppa, so if anyones ears are burning around 3'ish...its us;) :rotfl:
Started reading my next lot of books for next TMA essay:eek:

OH is doing some more clearing of his office today and I think he's doing the windows downstairs. He has some more of his course to do too. The fish pie he did yesterday was devine and made 7 portions, so I have put 3 in the freezer and kept 2 out for lunch today. Worked out the whole pie cost £3, so thats 43p a serving and can be padded out with more veg or salad if needed.

Must call Stannah today as the stairlift keeps bleeping and is always through the middle of the night:mad:, also have to update accounts and check on something I bought on credit card and whether its showing yet!?

Got an excellent deal on OH's car insurance. He has full no claims etc but car is a sports model:rolleyes: re-newal price was £288 for comprehensive insurance including protected no claims, courtesy car and legal cover. Used confused.com and they didnt come back as cheap, but had a flier from Barclays....so have managed to get the insurance exactly the same for £287, then I send my re-newal quote to them and I get a £50 cheque back within 28days as they couldnt match my quote:D :D:D so got the whole year for £237;) :p :j

    Breakie: Wholemeal Toast & Marmalade
Lunch:HM Fish Pie (leftover from yesterday)
Dinner: Chilli Con Carne/rice and garlic bread

Will catch up later, take care all.

Thanks,Shez for that,I'm feeling happy now:T Just done the happiness test and I'm 'highly satisfied' with my life:T

Lovely sunny day in Worcester, not sure what I'll do today yet.Possibly library, possibly gardening.Think I'll go for a cycle after I've got rid of the kids;).

Breakfast was baked beans and leftover cornbread
Lunch- kids are having cheese sandwiches, tomatoes, carrot sticks and cucumber slices,a slice of bread pud and some fruit
I'm having leftover lentils and cheese and some fruit
Supper- something with mince, yogurt and fruit

I'm actually trying to reduce the amount of fruit the children eat.I know that sounds like nutritional madness but it seems to be having a bad affect on dd's tummy IYKWIM.She's been having a glass of OJ,an apple, some grapes and some dried fruit every day plus a couple of servings of veg. She's only 6 and I reckon one large banana is probably 2 servings of fruit for a child that age.Trouble is I can't give her less than the boys without starting an argument.
