:hello: Morning!
Shopping day for me, I have started to draw just my weeks hk money out on Fridays and make it last all week. I also want to save at least £5 from it into the mortgage pig so have got to be a bit canny.
Should have done the basic shopping yesterday when it was quieter but got distractedand the day flew by. I have a fair bit in the larder and also my freezers (2 small uprights, how I miss the large chest freezer I used to have as I got so much more into it) need sorting out!
Just realised how much I am rambling on!:Dsorry!
Hope your hands feel better soon PP ((((hugs))))
Just got a phone call to say my holiday tickets are ready to be picked up:T I am feeling far more motivated now!
Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning all.
Very rare for me to be posting early morning.
Hoping today to get out in the garden and plant my runner beans. It is like day of the triffids in our back porch!!!
2 loads of washing done and on the line, supposed to dry and warm here today. Need to clean and polish the mini's for a show tomorrow as well.
Homemade chilli and tortillas for tea.
Have a good day all.0 -
Goodness RacyRed - that sounds like a night and a half
I have three hours in which to complete my picnic cookery (grilled salmon with rocket salad; tricolore salad; garnish on top of choccy puddings I made yesterday), get the WM on at least once, have a shower, and get dressed and ready to go out into this lovely grey dreary weather
Am trying not to spend any surplus cash this weekend as I finally blew £3.60 yesterday on a much-longed-for Starbucks Banana Caramel Frappuccino  It was like nectar of the gods... Other than the cost, the main reason I'd been putting off trying one was the fact that I knew it was either going to be yummy or horribly sickly, and that if it was yummy, it would open the door to a summer of wasting £3.60 a couple of times a week:o
Still, I got paid yesterday which means my 2-month challenge of not spending any of my £50-a-month pin money is OVER. In actual fact I'd spent a wee bit of this month's ahead of time, on some train tickets for this month, but still it means I have a little bit of "me money" again.
Sorry you're not feeling good today PP. And I'm sure I forgot to say thanks for the lovely things you said about me on here the other day - you really made me blush:grouphug::o
Right, time I as getting on

Interesting life? Me? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Nah, parties are rare, unfortunately
Despite the feet I'm off shopping, my fridge contains some onions and 6 grapefruit
While I was posting last night I stuck the old feet in a salt bath with some tea tree oil in it... you should have heard me yelp, lord knows what the neighbours thoughtIt worked though, so it was worth it.
Right, off to tackle the local markets unless anyone has a good recipe for onions and grapefruit?
Rzl! Starbucks Banana Caramel Frappuccino     Ooooooh! I have to walk past 3 Starbucks to get to the market!!! HELP _pale_My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Morning.....
((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) to all who need or want them....
Have not posted this week nothing much to report really, we had to spend a day at the allotment weeding the spud bed and trying to weed some of the other beds,...... we seem to have a load of mustard, think the last occupant of the allotment may have grown it as a green mamnure to be dug in, I was busy pulling it out and putting it in the composter.......
Yesterday I could hardly walk the muscles in my legs were so tight from all that digging. We are going to have to look at a soil improver of some description, you could make dinner plates with the clay in some places.....I have also decded we need a petrol strimmer to help us keep the weeds down a bit until we can get round to digging the rest of the pliot. Our old one has had it, so Argos here I come...........
Yesterday I did a months shop at Tesco £82, which leaves £18 for fruit and veg. I went int town on Wednesday and plundered the market.... bought enough veg and fruit to last two weeks......... yesterday I slipped off the wagon and bought stawberries and a melon from Tesco.........I want to make a mixed fruit salad to have for breakfast..........
Bed stripped need to sort out the linen basket, we came home last week with a bag of clean washing, I did it all at the house we were dog sitting at..... but the bin is full again........... might put the sheets in this morning see if I can get them dry it looks like its clearing up a bit..OH is cutting the grass. I came home with a laod of plants so looking at altering the front garden to move some plants from under thugs which have grown and put in the new ones. We were in B & Q on Wednesday buying compost, I treated myself to a french lavender, when I went to look at it yesterday it had collapsed, so it is going back tomorrow........ for a refund.
Right I am off for a coffee and shove the sheets etc in the washer,
Have a good day..............................

Hello everybody,
Been pretty flat strapped this week with DGS still here. Ex DIL has gone to stay with friends :j:D so we've had him to ourselves. I will post you all a recent photo once I have time.DS arrived here on Friday to spend the weekend with us and we drop him off to the airport tomorrow morning. We have to leave here by 5.30am _pale_ with DGS ready.
How the heck I did it all with 3 I never know. I'm exhausted.
After we drop him off to the airport DH, DGS & myself are going to hit the markets to buy some fresh produce. Never been there before so hoping for some good bargains. I'm taking Wally. DH will have a choice either push the stroller or drag Wally. Guess which one he will choose.Shoud be home around 12pm. Hope you all have a nice day today. Hugs to those in need of them. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hello everyone
Lovely lazy day so far. Had my first breakfast at 7 with DS2 - fruit salad and green tea, then we had a play and a tickle/cuddle then had another brekkie (cereals) at 10, when I watched some Saturday Kitchen. So far I've had a shower and hair wash, put on 1 load of washing and cleaned out DS2's aquarium. We've just had lunch and I'm wondering if it's still going to be dry when i need to hang the washing out cos it's going very dark.
DS1 is camping with Mr TM - they must be warm and dry because they haven't appeared on the doorstep asking for hot baths and dry clothes :rotfl: So. it's just me and DS2 today. We're just going to potter around and do bits and pieces. We'll go into the garden for an hour or two if it stays dry - I'll see if the grass is dry enough for a quick trim.
My next door neighbours are away tomight so I've just remembered what I wanted to do tonight - shampoo the carpets! Yes - I am that sad on a Saturday night, but once DS2 is asleep, it won't wake him and they'll be dry when he gets up. I will however have had my fillet steak and a glass of vino earlier though:D Then again - I may get DS2 to help with the carpets
PP - sorry you are not feeling good hun (((hugs)))
Rzl - have a fab time and hope your picnic is a success.
RacyRed - way to go girl, dancing the night away. Fitness regime and a night out all rolled into one. Hope you were strutting your stuff in the ChoosAnd this man with the lovely smile??? I hope you had your OH locked in another room, ya little minx :rotfl:
Ok - must go and do some stuff - I'm sure I will do something exciting along the way today. Hmm - maybe play DS2 at some of his new Thomas the Tank Engine games LOL
Have a good one everyone

Thanks for the words of encouragement from yesterday. I feel a bit happier today. I'm still cross with myself for having been backed into a corner. Especially as its now half term, and it was done in a way where it would be too hard to argue. I had a good long chat with DH last night, and i have decided i am going to email a colleague who is a union rep about the situation to get his advice, and then i think the best thing to do will be if i let the headmaster know the situation i have been put in, as i think i have been told a pack of lies. And it was obviously all decided well before he told me, and i didn't get told about it till the last possible minute.
On a brighter note, i got an email asking me if i wanted to contribute towards writing a kids revision book. I have emailed them back asking for more details. This was a project i applied for probably 18months ago, and it got postponed. I know it then means taking on more work for the time being, but i figure the more contacts and different types of work experience i have, the better position i will be in if i have to pack the job in.
I have said to DH if i have to teach this extra class, then i will have to do it. But i will very firmly refuse to do anything that isn't part of a normal class teachers load. If the git says he needs extra time to write schemes of work, then he can bloody do the lot of them, plus anything else that he tries to delegate my way. DH thinks he may be trying to push me to not go back after the baby.
 On a light note, it is my parents 28th wedding anniversary today. Luckily i reminded my dad yesterday to save him getting into bother. So i have picked up a bunch of roses and lilys, and will be popping to visit them this evening. Other than that, we popped to the ASDA and restocked on fruit and veg, plus some more of the extra special pork, ham and apricot sausages as they were yummy. Got a few bargains, but nowhere in the league of PPs husband.
DH is at work, and i have a choice of SAT marking, or slobbing with a magazine. I'm not sure which will win at the moment. Although a cat nap might be on the cards too.
I really fancy some of BRZLs picnic. Sounds absolutely yummy.
Going to go now and attempt to do something with the rest of the day. Wish me luck.

DH informed me this morning that our large chest freezer was leaking!
We have now got a new upright freezer with pull out drawers that should be less of a strain on my back.
Should be able to use it in an hour or so and pack the food in it. Will be interesting to see if it holds as much food as my old one.
Trying to get my dads washing dry and clean bathroom and have quick shower before DD comes back with friend.
