hi all, back in work again :(. still feeling a bit rough but spent most of the afternoon in bed and plan to spend the majority of tomorrow there too as DH is home nearly all day.

tirlittan - sorry you are feeling a bit down. well done for counting your blessings though. a lot of people (me included) find that hard to do.

cmd - well done on OH getting a pay check. that must have been nice. you'll be on track for baby saving in no time. how much mat leave are you taking? are you taking the full 12 months?

    Morning ladies!

Feeling better today again, it's always just a blib, most of the time I can ignore it. :o Still doesn't make things better, but I can cope.

I have an ebay question if someone could shed some light.
I have some stuff on ebay like clarins brush on bronzer at £11.50/RRP ~£27, Neals Yard Frankinsence creme at £12.50/£25, and Get Lashed London false eyelashes £6.50/£12? so they're all about half price or so. The 3 times I've had them on, I get couple of people watching, but then no one buying! It's so annoying! I think they're are a good deal, or am I asking too much? Opinions welcome.
    DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!
Proud to have dealt with my debts!
  • Hi ladies! How's everyone? I'm popping in once in a blue moon as usual.

tirlittan, can't really help with the Ebay prices, I'm afraid, as I never buy makeup from there. But they look like good enough deals to me.

Starnac - sorry your not feeling well :(

The aim is for me to take 6 months off. With the savings we would be able to afford 12 months but I want to get back into the routine of things. The aim is for me to return at 6 months and to go down to a 2/3 day week instead of full time. I don't want to return full-time at all. I am hoping that my boss will allow me to do 2 long days and then make up the rest of the hours over the evenings. That would allow me 5 days with the baby and also we would only need 2 days childcare. Does that sound reasonable to someone who has a child? I am worrying that I am not being realistic but we would be able to manage with me on a 3 day wage.

Tirlittan - glad you are feeling better. I am afraid I am useless at Ebay stuff.. For me, all the weird stuff seems to sell??? I think you seem to have priced stuff properly!

That sounds reasonable to me. As long as you can actually do the work at home in the evenings and can manage on a 3 day wage then that sounds like a really good option. Babies also seem to settle better with childcare when they are younger. We had a childminder for Seren one day a week from about 6 months to give me a bit of a break (I had PND) and she loved it. We've now put her in nursery 3 afternoons a week and we've had no problems at all with her (even though it's over 12months since she stopped going to the childminder) while a lot of children her age can suffer from seperation anxiety after being with the mother for so long.

Hey starnac, great news on the overdraft . Payday today for me too. I'm making the most of it as I don't have many left.... have taken inspiration from PAID and resigned. But I have a plan, so it's all good.

    Hi CMD! Que tal?
  • Ooh, and for the first time since I was 19 I have a positive net worth! So I now have more in savings than in debt. All the debt is at 0% until next September.

Doing a car boot at the weekend (my first). I'm a bit nervous, am trying to channel the inner Del Boy but feeling more like Rodney. There'll be 3 of us though.
