Tirlittan - re: your BF. Even if he could tell you that he does want to move in with you at some point in the future, I'm sure that would make a huge difference. Is he very shy? What about if he has a few drinks? Is he more likely to be freer with his words then?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

It would make a huge difference. Unfortunately, he's very guarded drunk or sober. I just need to talk to him without making a bid deal out of it, which is very difficult for me as I'm very matter of fact, straight talking person. Going about things in a round about way is so not me.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

Has he been hurt in the past, or is that how his parents are with each other? It sounds you know how best to deal with him though, so that is good! My brother is quite guarded but he is completely different with a few drinks on him. Quite the opposite really, it is funny!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Ha ha! Thanks!
I wish my company did an annual leave purchase scheme!
I have always been very strict with the taking of annual leave cos I think you get too stressed if you never take it.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Well that's the thing, he's not been hurt and nothing bad has really happened to him re: relationships and I've wondered about this before, aloud to him. I kind of know how I should deal with him, but it's so far from my natural way of doing things I find it quite difficult actually doing it.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

men. why do we bother??
cmd - we've always had a lot of annual leave but the nature of the job means you can't take it during certain times Christmas for example and you end up having to cancel some a/l or there's not enought weeks to go aroundGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

I am very similar to you so would find it quite difficult as well. They do say actions speak louder than words though, and you say he treats you very well, so that is a good thing.
What about mutual friends, are any of them taking the next step? Moving in or getting engaged? I think when that starts to happen it moves fellas along a little bit.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
