thanks for the encouragement. i know i can do the job and if it had come up anywhere else i would apply for it no problems. but the other staff can be a bit funny sometimes and they don't like the fact that as "the new girl" i actually have a lot more experience than they do.

but i'm trying to be more positive so i am going to apply and stuff the lot of them!

    so how's you today??

    hi tirl

if they want to pick it up cash on collection only. don't let them pay by paypal. you'll have no proof they have collected it and they can claim a refund from paypal as paypal only accepts royal mail proof of posting as evidence

I'm feeling very good today. :)

Can be bit difficult being the new girl but experienced, but I'm sure it would work out fine. Good luck with it.

I need to start looking for new jobs as well...

The bike ride is pretty tough. It's mostly on tarmac though, but the forest bits were the best, even the 5mile uphill! Gradient 1 in 38 though so not as bad as I imagined.

Not really sorted anything with bf so you haven't missed anything, everything else is just going so well, that I've decided to let it be for awhile. I'm planning to start constructively talk about things at some point though, as he needs to realise verbal commitment would be most welcome.

Thanks for the advice re: ebay. Never had anyone collect before hand.

don't know. I've kept saying for the last 6months I need to start looking, but haven't...:o

Just got a one percent pay rise and extra leave day. Won't keep me in this job though.

no problem about ebay. most people are honest but they are the minority few who would try that so cover yourself and say cash on collection only.

i didn't realise it's tarmac now. never used to be. haven't got a bike anymore sadly. it died of old age and went to bike heaven. i keep saying i should get one for work as i only live 2miles away but that little thing called money gets in the way

Yeah, Taff Trail is most of the way on roads now, you have two forest bits and that's about it. Still really nice though.

Yes, 1% is better than nothing. We're going to get it back paid in next pay so will get a 'lump some'. Mine won't be much, but it'll help.
