  • So does your OH expect you to buy all the kids Xmas presents as well? That sounds really unfair???

If your Mum is waking up and worrying about you and has offered you a place to stay then it sounds like she means it. You have to think of your own mental health and well-being. You sound dreadfully unhappy at the moment.

My pregnancy is going well. Since I have gotten over the morning sickness it has been fine. Am a bit p*ssed off that we will still have debt when the baby is born but that might motivate me to get rid of it quicker.

Australia was brill and great to have some sunshine in November! The flight was very long but I got through it in the end. I am due in Feb and am nearly 30 weeks now so starting to get big. I think the most I will have is 2 children. I am nearly 33 now so getting on a bit. Ha ha!

I buy the kids presents because if I left it to him they would get a load of tat, plus I know what they want, I am going to leave him to buy all the Xmas food, he does buy things but I have to ask a lot so I've started to ask if he has any money when I go to buy nappies or washing powder or I ring him at work and get him to bring stuff in on his way home (starting to get crafty).

Glad you are getting on OK, February is not too far off, I am a February baby, born on 20th (is that your due date I seem to remember it was on or near my birthday).

I went to Australia once to visit my brother when he was working there, it was really nice, the flight was long, we went all the way there with no overnight stopover, when we flew to Lithuania in August for my brothers wedding I hated flying.

    Morning all!

Hi TMD. Sorry to hear things are not going so well. :( I think you've just got to be very honest with him and say how you feel. Maybe even mention that separation might be in the cards if he doesn't start thinking about his immediate family more... I don't know, relationships are so hard sometimes...and probably even more so when you have kids.

Glad to have you back on here though!

Amazon money came through today so am only £39 off my extra target and that is on it's way in cheque form from love2recycly, so I've made it!!! So chuffed. From the extra pot, I've just paid £75 off virgin cc. Another £40 will be paid off this month as well.

Got bit scared when I was looking at my statement. Interest last month was £22.77 and minimum payment £27.77, but next months estimated interest was around £36!!!! That's just ridiculous, I just don't understand, it must be the way they work it out, cos otherwise, surely, it should be less cos I've paid more than the interest last month??? Anyway, that's why I paid the £75 off it and will be using my amazon earnings next year to pay extra off it as well. Need to really keep on top of it.

  • Thanks Tirlittan, I'm sure things will work out, just waiting for Xmas to be out the way first.

I had a credit card that was £84 interest and minimum payment was £89 was a bit of a shock that I will only be paying £5 off. Going to the bank soon to pay in my sealed pot money, I counted up my £2 coins too last night and have £156 so am adding another £10 and that will go to pay off my minimum payment on my Barclaycard.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Oooh, would like to point out that I'm nearing £6k on this challenge! Way behind everyone else, but will get just over £6k when last of this years payment towards s.loan goes out next week. I might of missed some payments as well, like the cc now and gotten bit confused which has been paid and which has not. Not sure if I can be bothered to work it out though...

  • It doesn't matter where you are on the challenge Tirlittan. It's if you are happy with what you have paid yourself :)

Another £90 paid off my Oz credit card, which unfortunately I can't amend on my signature but after seeing that I paid £45 interest on the card today I have been motivated to clear that instead of my 0% one now. I know I won't see it reflected on the sig but I hate paying interest.

  • Morning all,

Managed to pay an extra £300 off my Oz card, £50 off my virgin and put £100 into the baby savings.

No sign of OH's part-time cheque coming. To be fair he put in for it about 2 weeks ago so it is the company being slow rather than OH. He still needs to sort out his tax though.

well done everyone on the extra payments

TMD - I am really sorry to hear all the problems you are having with your OH. He sounds quite controlling and completely unrealistic in the amount of money he gives you. In your position I would set up an emergency savings account and try to get a bit of money together - that way if you do want to leave you have access to a bit of cash.

All the best and hugs to you

I finally got paid this week but because I was paid late I used a lot of it to rebalance our bank accounts (all our money is joint). I am hoping tho to get another payment before xmas which I hope to use most of towards the debts so watch this space!
