For Christmas we're doing the same as last year, staying with BF at his. On Boxing Day we'll go to his parents for couple of days. How about you?

Oh, so you're both from Ireland, where abouts? Do you have any family over here?

    Sorry had to go yesterday!

I have been in the UK for 7 years. We came to Scotland because we wanted to live in a different city and the city we lived in Ireland didn't have much jobs in my sector.

How did you end up over here?

    No worries CMD. That's life...

I'm at home today, my dad was supposed to be here by now but his flight was late leaving and he missed his connection in Amsterdam. Next flight 8pm!!!

I came to work here for year before going to uni, but met a guy and stayed, that's it in a nutshell.:D

Damn internet banking. Just transfered money to my other UK ac via the fast payment, but it still hasn't hit my ac. GRRR!!! Want to transfer the money to Finland!

Feeling quite coldy as well. And only just had a cold. Thankfully I can chill out today until my dad arrives.

  • Sorry to hear your Dad's flight was delayed/missed. The weather is pretty bad today. I was at OH's gig in Brighton last night and we came back this morning. It was freezing!

Hope you don't get another cold. Maybe you are just a bit run down and tired. What are your plans to do with your Dad when he is over?

We are going on the Eurostar on Friday. Can't wait!

  • Ok - deep breath, deep breath. Someone tell me I am not bonkers. After having an infuriating chat with Virgin whereby I am still paying interest on a 0% transfer that I paid £145 for in August (don't ask) I transferred my baby savings and have paid off my credit card.

I have also used some spare cash and nearly have the Oz credit card paid off now. Something inside me just snapped and I am sick of paying interest to them. I know I now don't have any baby savings but should have some in Dec when myself and OH get paid, plus OH is waiting to get some part time wages, tax back and we are also due £900 for our deposit at the end of Feb so I reckon we will have near enough £5k by March 1st.

Feel relieved now. Tell me I am not crazy!!
