not at all hun....i can understand you wanting rid of it all
Thanks CAFC, it feels like a bit of a relief even though we still have a big loan. I can perhaps do a balance transfer on that next year (0%) and pay that off in bits and pieces with AQA. I would rather pay the £50 we were paying in interest to the baby savings fund than Virgin. They sickened me this afternoon.
How are you feeling? I hope the sickness is gone xxxTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I have also used some spare cash and nearly have the Oz credit card paid off now. Something inside me just snapped and I am sick of paying interest to them. I know I now don't have any baby savings but should have some in Dec when myself and OH get paid, plus OH is waiting to get some part time wages, tax back and we are also due £900 for our deposit at the end of Feb so I reckon we will have near enough £5k by March 1st.
Feel relieved now. Tell me I am not crazy!!clearmydebts wrote: »Ooh, on another note. I have achieved my paper hat target. Although I know Doodles won it ages ago!
You're not crazy. Well done you. Hopefully you can now build up your savings for baby - but won't be charged silly interest etc..... It will lower your minimum payments too so you can put more of your money towards your savings - I am sure you will soon build your pot back up
Sorry I've neglected the thread this week. To cut a long story short - I had an accident at work, have been in agony, started panicking in case it was broken but thankfully now found out it isn't! Thanks SavingH. I think I just had enough this afternoon and was sick of paying about £50 a month on interest when it could go towards the baby. Still have a small amount on 1 credit card and have the loan but I feel relieved that I won't have to juggle all the cards when the baby arrives.
Glad you are feeling a bit better now. I was worried about you for a few days!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi all,
Am currently stranded in Brussels. Made it on the Eurostar on Friday but parents were delayed coming from Ireland and they are stuck in my house in the UK(never made to Belgium).
Had to book into the hotel and don't know when we will get back. I am booked on a flight out of Ireland (to the UK) tomorrow night at 9pm so fingers crossed I will make it. Trying to remain calm - looks like that hypnobirthing class was worth it! Deep breaths!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
