  • Hi all

This morning I was just talking to OH about how I fancied some new glasses,, then later I went to pick up my phone, stepped backwards and *crunch* snapped in two across the nose and arm bent out of shape.

Now I had said I wanted some new ones, I really didn't mean today

Oh well, I am glad I had just cleared my credit card, at least I won't be paying interest on it

    Morning all.

    Debt news.
Only need another £4.69 to reach my £1617 target for student loan as on pay day, I've got £360 waiting to be added. And I'm still waiting for £17.33 profit from amazon, £13.70 from littlewoods (which both should be coming this week) and then still have £39 to come from the mobile phone sale and measley £2.53 from magpie. Not necessarily expecting the latter two to come this month.

Some of the left extra I'll pay off of Virgin CC, but some will use for other stuff like holiday fund etc...Need to work out how much towards each when it's all in my sweaty hands...:D

EDIT: Just added it all up and if I'd receive all money this month (which is not going to happen) I would've also reached my s.loan extra target of £224. I say this is completed as I will receive the money at some point. I didn't think it was going to be possible to achieve these two targets so am extremely pleased!!!

I am quite surprised that I've managed to reach my target, well, the extra target, I knew I could do the basic one. I think I'll divide my extra into 3 chunks, one of which I'll use to pay bit more off CC.

Next year, I've decided to have another challenge for myself, to pay off extra £1900 in 22 months, so on top of my usual payments, so I'm on the right road to debt freedom before November 2011. That's extra £86 a month, which I guess should be doable with the help of £10 A Day Challenge.

I think I've also decided that if I still can get a ticket to Glasto (the ones that have been reserved but not paid by January will go on sale again) I'll go for it. I have some camera gear I need to sell and some of them should fetch a fair price so that might just do it. And then I have, hopefully, fingers crossed, the clinical trial money to come in March/April time, which I will want to use for other things.
