Evening All, Sorry for the absence yesterday and thank you Ruby for missing me.
The car people didn't come as they spent all day with the police collecting up tax evaders, so are coming Monday afternoon. I'd got myself all psyched up and for nothing, talk about piling on the agony.

Niece (surrogate daughter) home for a few days and keeps popping in to use internet (BIL hasn't got landline) and to find various belongings, I've still got some of her stuff in my spare room.

Doing the extra morning with my old lady is a bit tiring also, but I need the money and its far more rewarding than PL. Mother Hen kicks in and I just want to bring her home and look after her.

OH and I having a quiet weekend. Did bit of shopping this morning, took new microwave back and exchanged it for a different model after plate exploded on Thursday. Spent an extra £20 and got a much better make and model, with loads of features(too technical at moment), but we got a very good buy. Went to garden centre and stocked up on compost and plants for 1 tub, for tidying up garden. But didn't do any today too windy.

Anyhow going to have early night as am soooooo tired. Catch up soon.x

Ruby- i think using parmasan will work for recipe, all about making tweaks! I'm going to do the recipe this week.

Poppy- I'm really into fantasy art, Gary Lippencott type stuff, faeries, unicorns, goblins, wizards, magic, lord of the ringsy stuff. fantasy-unicorn-15.gif

Been into it since i was little, i'm also a wiccan fantasy-witch-39.gif so it kind of ties in there. Talking of Gary Lippenscott- very famous fantasy artist he loves my cupcakes, i sent him an email about art advice and I got a reply which I wasn't expecting and at the end he wrote this "Oh...I almost forgot!...I visited your cupcake website.......fantastic! I've never seen so many different "styles" of cupcakes. You are truely an artist! Gary" Wow!!:D

    Today I want to:
    • Wash floors
    • Clean bathroom
    • Clean out rabbits
    • Order online shop
    • Spend some time drawing
    • Read a bit of my book
    • Look for houses (to rent) on net
    • Try and watch a couple of things I have on sky plus.
    So pretty nice day really:p

Phil starts his new job tomorrow!!! I'm soooo glad he has a perm job now since April- hopefully we can start to get back on track.:j

Hope everyone has a fab day today. hello-kitty-baguette.gif

    Morning to one and all

Hope everybody has some sunshine today :D Managed to get my washing out at last - fingers crossed it stays out til dry

Dinner on the go and looking forward to filling my tummy before the drudgery of the blooming ironing

Ruby - son is 17 but a very sensible 17 tbh. He is still suffering and finds it difficult to speak cos his tongue so swollen  and not sure whether he can cope with eating a dinner. Used to work in a nightclub for years and yes there are exceptions with the doormen but the majority seem to suffer with delusions of self importance. Your experience with one sounds horrendous

Laura - Did you stop at the 2nd glass :rotfl:

Robsmum - What is PL :o Does the alzheimers lady you look after live on her own? My father suffered with alzheimers up until the time he suffered a haemorrhage and it was heartbreaking to watch. Got to the stage where he even forgot all our names icon9.gif

Tilly - Oh how interesting you are :T Would love to hear more. Had to google to read all up about it. Can you give me a link for your cupcakes site so I can have a little lookie
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints - the sinners are much more fun ;)

You should find out his address so you can send him some to eat, not just look at, then he can see how yum they are! :D

I must have totally missed you telling us about this... some times I skim read if there have been tonnes and tonnes of posts! :o So sorry for missing it first time round. Congratulations to Phil- hope it goes great :D It must be such a relief! When do you start you new job?! xx

When Robsmum says PL it means 'posh lady' who is another lady she does some cleaning for who is (you guessed it) a bit posh! :p

Today I need to clean the kitchen. That is all, it's a short list! :D
  • Tilly - as Laura said, so sorry for missing the bit about OH having a new job! That's fantastic news, I know you guys were pretty stressed about that. Oh love, well done! When do you start yours?

Laura - well done on the self control last night. I was pathetic - lasagne and two thirds of a bottle of Sauv Blanc plus an Aero mousse of all things. Comfort eating SUCKS!

Was supposed to be meeting friend I didn't see on Friday for lunch today but she's just texted to say she's too hungover from last night. She's a total party girl and it's virtually impossible to book time with her so I'm not surprised about this. It's kinda sad actually - she's a really successful PR account director, owns a house in North London, is STUNNING (my mum thought she was a model) but has almost as low self esteem as me so she spends her life drinking heavily to escape. She also cannot spend time alone so has to constantly be out doing things. Whereas my low self esteem manifests itself by keeping me indoors and forcing food down my neck. On balance I think I'd rather have hers!
Most of my friends are messed up like this - I wonder what it is about our generation?

Oh well, I think I'll do some painting this afternoon instead.
