Poppy - in case you thought my comment to Ebs about the hot pants was weird, most of us are all friends on Facebook, too. Are you on there?
    Wondered what you meant :rotfl:

Yes I have got a Facebook account although dont tend to use it too much. Mainly for keeping in touch with daughter when she is away. Can PM you my name and anybody else that wants :D
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints - the sinners are much more fun ;)

    Oh well here goes :rotfl:
Fried 4 lamb steaks couple mins each side to brown (any cheap lamb will do as it cooked so slowly) Put in slow cooker
Fried a chopped onion, 2 cloves garlic, 2 carrots cubed, As many potatoes as you want in slices. Just fried to soften. Stick in slow cooker.
    Add tin of tomatoes.
In a jug mixed about 100ml hot water, oxo cube, tomato puree and found in cupboard an out of date packet mix(Scwartz or Colmans not sure) for Moroccan Lamb!! Added half of that!!!! Add to cooker with a splash of Worcester.
Lid on and forget about it for the rest of the day :D

Oooh thanks! Have just scribbled that down. Do you slice the lamb steaks or leave them whole?
    Thank you Poppy!

  • Where's Ebs and Laura and Princess and Rupe and Tilly and Redstar, eh? Eh? Call this commitment?!

Hi everyone - thanks for missing me!

Sorry I've not been on, been celebrating my little girl's 4th birthday on Wednesday, to make up for the fact that I had to work late on Thursday (her actual birthday - I really am a rubbish mother :o).

Been chaos (again) at work today as I had to leave earlier for a scan at the hospital - bubs seems to be ok, but I'm not as far along as the midwife had thought - only 11 weeks and 3 days, instead of 13 weeks....

Anyway, before you ask Fuzz, I'll try and get the pic of bubs up over the weekend when I've got 5 minutes to sort it out - hope that's ok ? :D

Anyway, I've missed loads as usual, so hugs for all that need it, welcome to Poppytime and I'll try and stay tuned better next week :j

Hope you all have lovely weekends.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Hi Peeps! Another 150 cakes today. Phew, so that's why i've not been around.

Been mucho postage since yesterday! I'm soooo tired so no way i have remembered!! But hi to everyone and love u all:smileyhea

It is amazing how much laura talks to herself on here:rotfl:

Anyway Laura WELL DONE on the CC!!! Very proud of you:D

Ebs- all have to say to you is £96 on a mirror- you say you didn't have it framed as more money so do you literally just have a pane of mirror glass???:rotfl:

Poppy- loving the sound of your whirlwind of a wedding, I love stories like that! :o You asked what my job was- i'm a project manager, nothing glam! And yes running my business as well is hard but I want to build it up enough. But it doesn't pay the bills so still have to do the day job. But i'm on garden leave until 26th Oct so can just focus on cupcakes and my drawing/painting which is a new hobby I have too.

Redstar- glad hospital went well and bubs is ok, can't wait to see pic :j

Ruby- "Give what you can for poor ruby, £2 a month will get her out of the house so she doesn't recite DOND episodes"- saddo;)

Talking of funny names- My nan wanted to call my auntie (our last name is Green) Teresa- go on just say it outloud. She didn't understand the prob apparently for days!:rotfl:

Right cookclub update and repost- Ruby is next and is putting hers on shortly. Remember this is flexible- you don't have to do all the recipes, you may not like the sound of them, or have no time but remember it's to try and get us to try different things.

Laura has done hers (diet version)- Laura what score out of 10 would you give? I must say i thought it looked yummy, nice a cheesy and creamy!:D

Is there anyone I haven't put on??

Right ladies here is the recipe for the next 2 weeks (9th Oct). Post when you have done the recipe, any comments, how did it turn out and mark it out of 10. I'll keep a list of recipes and scores etc

It's getting ridiculous now. When I watch DOND and Noel is referring back to past games I know exactly which ones he's talking about. :oQUOTE]

Can't help it - there is something about that man!;)

Hey dudes - am happy Rupe today - yes I know all I have done is pop on here, whinge, and go again - but am feeling WELL and ITS THE WEEKEND!!! Tra la laaa:beer:

Just been to one of those party evenings where a woman does some cooking and then people buy all the products - like VERY VERY posh tupperware. Not my kind of thing really, so did not spend anything - but it was nice to catch up with some friends (and be out of the house and NOT at work!)

Seriously though - £160 for a pan?:eek:Its at times like these that I miss Woolworths.
Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side
