Hello ladies and welcome Stop! Poppytime :D

I have fallen off the wagon. I need help. I need a big fat kick up the ar*e.

I spent A LOT of money this week, all on the credit card that I was so happy that I cleared.

Anyway that's why I've been silent I was too ashamed. I also rediscovered ebay and bought ELEVEN items of clothing on my lunch break yesterday.

People I am at my wits end. I really hate myself right now.

Do as the clever ladies say:) Oh and also cut up that damn card:rolleyes::D
Quick straw poll girls: Does anyone think I should start the process of applying for benefits? I am utterly in the dark about them and someone told me it'll be 6 weeks before I even see any money, by which time I hope I'll have a job but if I don't I'll obviously be grateful I applied now. Does anyone even know what I'd be entitled to roughly?

Confuzzled - Dont want to seem daft but was is PMA? Probably be something so simple will kick myself when you tell me :rotfl:

Ruby - Sorry to hear about your redundancy and hope something turns up for you soon. Enjoy your night out tonight :D

Ebony - We all have days like that. Credit Cards are such a temptation  Have been trying not to use mine for an age now but the balances just seem to never reduce  Hope you are feeling better about yourself now

Robsmum - Has your niece arrived? Are you close?

Tilly - Another redundancy  At least you are lucky enough to have got a new job - what will you be doing? Sounds like you are busy enough with your cupcakes !!!

A little about me :o Met my OH when I was on hols in the June - went back to meet up with him for 2 weeks three months later in the September. Got married in the November  You could say I make quite rash decisions :rotfl:
I dont work as such - we have a take away food business which is going through a difficult period at the moment but hey ho - keep smiling and hope things will pick up soon.
Seems like I am the 'granny' amongst you at 51 but really dont [STRIKE]act [/STRIKE]feel it :D
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints - the sinners are much more fun ;)

Poppy: You can't pinch my title! At 53 I am the oldest! I am also known as the "mother hen" on here, our other "mother hen" Rosered isn't about much at moment, due to frail parents. It's up to us oldies to try to keep order ( I think were the worst sometimes) and we're supposed to give wise words of wisdom:mad:.'

Niece has arrived, yes we're extremely close, have been since the day she was born. Probably due to her dysfunctional mum (my sister), she lives with her Dad (BIL) across the road when she's not studying or working away.

    PMA is Positive Mental Attitude.

Ruby: Well done on getting the signing on process going.

Rupe: Hope you and Rugrats are feeling better.

Tilly: You must be all cup caked out. Feet up and chill tonight.

OH found a number today, who are coming to collect my car tomorrow afternoon and going to scrap it and I will get £45 for it.icon9.gif But that's £45 into the car fund. I'm going to hate not having my own car, but still trying to be positive. At least now I haven't got to drive it to the scap yard! That was just too sad.

Hi all! Was busy again today so couldn't get on!

RM- £45 is £45 at the end of the day (and the beginning, and the middle) and better than nothing which is what you were getting yesterday! So it's not much but better than nowt! :D

I keep thinking about selling those swarovski penguins i have but i don't really want to. I don't particularly like them or anything but as they we gift on my 21st it seems wrong to sell them. But I could really do with the money..:o Tough one...

Here is my diet version of the recipe:

    Serves 4

    Frylight (instead of olive oil)
4 rashers bacon, all visible fat removed (instead of proscuttio)
    3 eggs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 tbsp very low fat natural fromage frais (instead of all the creamy stuff)
4 oz/112g parmesan (less cheese. Big shame :( I looove cheese!)
    Small bunch of chives
    397g/14oz cooked tagliettelli

    1. Roughly chop the bacon and fry in a non-stick pan for 2-3 minutes using a couple of sprays of Fry-light. Set aside
    2. Lightly beat the eggs, season to taste and add the fromage frais and add half of the Parmesan. Chop the chives and add to the mixture, reserving some for garnish.
    3. Add the tagliettelli and egg mixture to the bacon in the pan and stir gently over a low heat until the egg starts to set.
    4. Serve sprinkled with the remaining Parmesan and chives

So I will give this a go and let you alls know. (ps I didn't make this up on the spot I already had this recipe just never made it!)

Well- i made this for tea tonight and even if it wasn't the most attractive meal (I'm sure it's not meant to look as lumpy as it did!) it was tasty. I did use more parmesan though... I have amended the recipe above as I think it will need the parmesan to keep the flavour.. I was also a bit 'cheeky' and threw a few mushrooms in there too. :)

I'll add a pic soon even though it wasn't very 'pretty' - i just need to faff around uploading it. :D

Where is everyone elses versions of the taglietteli (sp?) :D
