  • Hey crazy ladies (and Laura)

Welcome Poppytime, was freaked out with your 'avvi'! It keeps winking at me :D

I'm in a similar situ to Laura, although only been with OH for 2 1/2 years, don't think he will ever propose though! He has said he has got me something big for Christmas, but I think it's a tv ! Been wanting a flat-screen but want us to buy one when we move in together (subject has been broached, put on back-burner, broached again and still on back-burner) - men eh!

Anyway just a catch up from me before bed, cos soooooo tired. Nite all x
  • Oh and Ruby, I heart your brain too :D. I love that you understand my weirdness!
much work to be done - new sig coming soon...

    Morning All and Poppy Welcome,
Well today is another buzy one. I still haven't got used to Thursdays not being a day off day. It's Alhiezermer Lady this morning and BIL's cleaning later. I wonder who and what I'll be with AL today.:rolleyes:

Civilization finally arrived in our village yesterday, WE FINALLY GOT WHEELIE BINS:j only problem is our row of houses don't have rear access, so all bins have to stay at front. None of the porches are big enough to put a wheelie bin, let alone 2! My neighbour has no where flat to put hers at all. At the moment right in front of my door I have 4 big bins - I think I can find homes for mine but am really miffed that I spent time and money creating a front garden area only to have to have someone elses bins in it!!
They have thought thisthrough so well - we have a gray bin for general rubbish, a green 1 for garden waste and food waste including cooked and clear sacks for recycling. You can imagine where I am going with this so as it's early in the morning I'll spare you all the gory details, like smells and flies!
Our lovely village is having a hard time at the moment, bins and burgulars. Haven't had any for years and now we've had 4 in 10 days!

Laura: I am definately up for NSD :eek:challenge as :eek:Car fund needs a boost and Christmas is approaching.

BIL treated melast night to GoodHousekeeping Complete Book of Preserves -I though that was so sweet. So it should be here soon which will keep me well occupied.

Ruby: Hair sounds lovely. A good boost for you also.

Catch up later - hey ho it's off to work I go.

Hi poppytime- welcome aboard. All you need to do to join in is talk! And we all listen :D As you can see- sometimes I even talk to myself but then I'm just odd! ;)
We also 'occasionally' run MSE style mini challenges amongst ourselves (usually around NSDs) but anyone and everyone is welcome to talk nonsense here. :)
Phew, you already know that then?! Thought I'd have to get the men in white coats to pose as ice-cream-van-men just to get you to go quietly:p:rotfl:
Fuzz, I liked the look of that house, all I could think was 'it's how cheap?' Be thankful that you don't live here, it's sooo frickin expensive. Don't think we will be able to ever buy a house ever
Yeah cheap houses is one of the joys of living 'Oop Norf':D although if it was in a good state of repair it would be going for nearer £300k:eek: Deffo not in my price range:( I want that house though, I'm becoming obsessive and DH refuses to look at it coz he knows he'll want it too:rolleyes:

Re: Engagements/weddings...there could be a job lot of engagements at xmas?!! I do hope so:) Nothing more exciting:D
I just harrassed DH for a few months:D He soon took the hint and proposed(we'd been together 11months!) ...then again I knew the day I met him we'd be togeva 4eva:D Can't believe we've been together 3 1/2 yrs already and married for 18months of that:eek:
And re: the mentally planning a wedding.....I'm doing that for babies:o I already know the buggy I want, which re-usables I'll have, how much batch cookin I'll be doing while on maternity leave ready for when I get home with bubs, I have a list of essentials and a list of wants:o:o
And I'm not even pg yet........not that I know of anyway:)
    God I'm pathetic:o:rotfl:

    RM - stinky bins...yuck!!!!!
Rubes as soon as you have pics of your luscious locks you HAVE to let us know:D

Thanks for the welcome Monkey, Swinstie73 and Robsmum icon7.gif

Monkey - I had my first child at 32 so there is time for you yet :D

Swinstie73 - that avvi took me ages. Ended up having to get one of my techie friends to do it for me in the end

Robsmum - no wheelie bins at this part of the country yet but am dreading the day when they are lined up outside the house :o

Right - better get my backside into gear and catch up with all the 'stuff' I should have done yesterday. Ended up spending the day like a headless chicken after attempting to tax my car online and discovering that my MOT had expired the day before. Purse now lighter by £276 icon9.gif
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints - the sinners are much more fun ;)

  • Fuzz, it's not pathetic - at least I hope not anyway, seeing as in addition to planning a whole non-existant wedding, I have also planned stuff for my non-existant baby too :o. Thinking maybe I need to get a life. I can't believe you got married after only 11 months! I've been with BF for 4 years, although, to be fair we've only actually lived in the same town for 2 of those years!

RM, sorry to hear about your stinky bins! We have the same problem, our 2 bins have to sit in our front yard. I just try to keep them as far away from the house as possible. Unlike some people who have their bins right in front of their front room window . One thing though, if they yake up a lot of space, you could ask the council if they have a smaller size. I know ours do, as the old lady next door has one. Basically you ring them and tell them you don't have much waste and so don't need such a massive bin, and they come and swap it for you.

Eeek! I do tax at post office, websites too confusing for a poor simpleton like me:D

Hehe I love planning things:D Also helps feed my addiction to lists:rotfl:
We got engaged after 11 months(Nov 06) and married 1yr 5months(Apr 08) after that:D Couldn't of coped with planning a wedding in under a year:eek: Deffo would've been a nervous wreck, although I did move from Manchester to Derby ater we'd been together 6months....everyone thought I was mental:D:D:D

Monkey did you manage to catch up at work yesterday?

  • Fuzz, nope, not caught up yet. I really am finding it hard to find the enthusiasm to do anything much! You're right with the planning thing. I think the need for lists is what it's all about. I feel so much better if I've written a list!

Poppy, yeah I know there's plenty of time yet, but once I've got a plan and got something in my head, I get upset if it doesn't happen. I guess it's not so much a specific age thing, but more the fact that I know if I didn't make it clear that I want it to be soon, BF might think there was no rush and put off thinking about the future and just let things coast along as they are. And that's not great for me, I like to have a plan :D

AL was a bit better today and I have found a loo brush hidden at the back of the cupboard. She was going off to get her hair done and I have sent her off to buy some multi surface cleaner. Next week will tell what and if she got anything.

Off to play juggle the bins soon.
