will put the money we thought we would use on a 701 or 901 towards paying off the master card!

i do envy you though! enjoy your 901 - it looks fab - but just to get you back im going to think of you when you use it the first time and get the whole kitchen covered in flour lol ( just kidding )

I bought my 901 at a car boot sale and was desperate to get a splash cover but you are saying they are no good? The clouds of icing sugar was everywhere last weekend as I made butter icing!
So is it not worth buying one?
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j

Well I just find my splashguard a real pain when im making yorks puds because I like to add a little flour at a time and the splashguard gets in the way. I may have another go with it.. maybe its just me!

PS mystery solved, Brokenwings and I werent bidding on the same machine! I have noticed there are a couple of buy it now machines on this morning that are a reasonable price, maybe easier than having to go through the bidding process?

PPS the one I bough is cheque only so I may not get it for a week or so, darn it!
  • Hi - can anyone tell me if a dough hook just mixes bread dough, or will it knead it too?

    It kneads it as well!

You mix the dough, let it knead on a slow speed (2-3) for a few minutes, then let rise.

Knead again for another few minutes and then put into your tins.

    hth!

  • Thanks - that's good. I do have a bread machine but would like an alternative. I'm not big and tough enough to knead. I've bid on a few but have been outbid. Can't see any point in upping my bid because I might just as well get a new one for a couple of quid more. Will get one after my holidays. I've spent too much money on this KC lark this month!
