MRSMC - glad all went well at the Hospital, fingers crossed for your Op appt that it fits in with what you plan to do in the Kitchen.;)
Got my Xmas cake, puds and Mincemeat made today so feeling a bit smug.:o
Being busy in the kitchen meant that it was a NSD today.;)
Dinner tonight is Toad in the hole, mash, carrots, peas and sweetcorn and loads of gravy. No pud tonight so tea and cake will have to do.:D
Have a good evening everyone - I'll be watching Nigel Slater and then Economy Gastronomy.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Hi,
If I'm not too late to join in, I'd like to play please.
We (two of us) tracked back for the SOA and over the last six months our average monthly supermarket spend has been £265.84. Full intention is to get down to £150 per month from September 09 onward. We've taken to seeing something on offer and buying it for a specific meal instead of deciding that, as it's buy 1 get 1 free, we should get 30!
This month we've spent the sum total of £39.05 so we're going pretty well all things considered. We have cheated a wee bit by stocking up on chilli mix, tomatoes, ariel, comfort, mince and chicken breasts in August (probably enough to do for the next six months in all) so that will aid the big drop to £150 per month.
I've also discovered Aldi, Iceland, Home Bargains and Lidl. Can't believe what I've been missing all these years!
Thanks,

Hello, we've now spent £71 so far this month, o/h is being a nightmare as everytime we run out of something he likes he just goes and buys more..though in reality i suppose i should be pleased as it is things like cheese/pasta which going back 4 months he wouldn't have eaten without a fuss as he needed meat at every meal! Hopefully we'll make another trip to Costco next week to top up on pasta, and baking stuff.August: £149/£150
Sept: £200

Spent £12.11 today in Mr Ts, got quite a bit for my money too as quorn mince and cathedral city cheddar were both on BOGOF. I think we have enough food to take us to payday next week which is good as I only have £13.74 to my name or at least that I'm willing to spend. I think I'm going to be under budget this month by quite a bit, we've got quite a lot in already to work with.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Had another NSD today
Made a big leek and bacon pasta bake last night - half of which is in the freezer for another meal
Breakfast: Mostly biscuits, as got up late
Lunch: Homemade pate with toast, crisps, chocolate tart
Dinner: Leek and bacon pasta bakeWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Have now spent €106.25 of my budget for September, seems to be lots in the freezer so am planning on doing a use up month as much as possible. DD4 and DGS2 will be moving out by the end of the month but will be back while we are away 28/9-05/10 to look after the precious cats!
Good luck to all

Second Mr T delivery of September today for me. It would have been under £50, but I got some extra things to push it over £50 to get the petrol voucher. I was very good, though, and only got extra of stuff like washing powder - having more of it in the house doesn't make me use it up more quickly, as I would with chocolate biscuits, for example.
Spending diary still up to date, and on target too, in spite of the extra spends today. Total is currently £110.85, which is spot on for £55 each Wednesday plus £30 for entertaining people and taking food to my parents.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Hiya guys,
Things are still hectic here so not been on much:o
Only spent £25.48 so far this month, and still got loads in, just have to get the fresh stuff as and when:D:j:j
I've had 8 NSD's so feeling very in control. But this is probably where it will go wrong as I'm away from tomorrow and the relief will take over and probably blow my budget. Still, as I've been so good, hopefully they wont bust the budget completely:rolleyes::eek:;)
Hope it's going well for you guys too, best of luck and see you when I get back.
