Hi Louise, It is reassuring when you find someone with a similar debt, doesn't feel quite as horrendous then. I will seek out your thread and subscribe.

Meant to get into work for 7am as loads to do but slept in so a little bit late. Think I'm hormonal as I am all agitated at work again. There is a really clique going on between the boss and another person and I just feel like screaming "stop licking her bottom!" They are younger than me and feel that they can boss everyone around in the office, sadly they tried it with me yesterday and felt my wrath. Really does need to get down off the pedestal as is not helping their popularity with others. Raging hormones :mad:

On bank watch for payday - had a look today and we have £8.46 left in joint account as OH has spent £40 of the money we had left and I have spent none - so victorious Mrs IMD yet again!

I am on a roll with kicking OH's !!! though, he wanted to buy some music last night and I told him he would have to wait until payday :j:j:j He looked a bit sullen but said ok. Then started harping on about having seen a flat screen for £500 and might use his bonus on it when he gets it :eek: He looked more than a little perturbed when reformed MSE IMD told him he was an idiot and we had to think about as new car and horrendously high debts so go take a hike :D

We do not need a flat screen TV, ours is fine! Men!

Off to do some work now I have had the obligatory half hour of messing on the computer! Started a GI diet today as I was doing WW but it is no good for me and my running. Seem to be able to eat quite a lot, just had chicken and scrambled egg on toast and smelt the office out :D

    Have a good day everyone

I think it would be funny to scream "stop licking her bottom" in the office......you could then follow it up by doing the same on the train, in the supermarket, or at the park.......would be interesting to see the reaction of those around you!!

  • Hey IMD - have just caught up with your diary for the last week or so. Well done on all the ebaying, how are the sales going?
Also well done on kicking the OHs a!!e, takes a lot of energy to keep both people on track. My OH tends to be really good, not like spending anything, then justify something big, although he's getting better, and I have bad days too so can't complain too much...

Office politics? Nightmare. I get a bit of that here, I've never worked in such a gossipy place with people speculating on other peoples lives continuously. I hide in my corner and ignore it all!

Hope you have a good day, and remember its f-f-f-friday, yeay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yeah and time how long it takes of for the men in white coats to arrive! :p

I totally feel for your hormonal state, that was me last week and everyone knows to run for cover . Think that's why I was so tired (and why I had the Mother of all Binges on Sunday! 3 chocolate mini-rolls, coconut macaroons, dark choc - need I go on :o)

I've started a free online diet diary - https://www.nutracheck.co.uk. We are all addicted to it at work. There's a free 5 days trial, though one MSE girl has used her other email address and got another 5 days. It's very good - though doesn't stop me putting biscuits in my mouth.....yes, the detox was short-lived.

Well done on taking control of the finances, it will start to make a difference to that total real soon :)
  • HI IMD, just thought i would pop by and say hi!xx Well done on keeping your other half's feet on the ground. My OH wanted a piano for his b day so he had one but the difference is i got a stunning old one for free does not even need tuning! The mse way!

Ooh, not a good start to the day. For the future can you not change the date the council tax comes out in order that you are not running so close to the wire near payday? Is payday generally the same date each month or is it flexible?

  • Think I'm going to try and change it to the beginning of the month as we are like this every month. OH normally gets paid on 24/25/26th, when they choose, no rhyme or reason to it really! Have £26 left in other bank account so all is not lost. Was considering withdrawing it off another card and paying it in tomorrow until we are paid, but is it worth it just for one day??

Really trying to see this as just a blip and nothing major, one of those things......I'm annoyed as I told oH not to buy some songs for his ipod until we were paid and he has just blatantly ignored me and used the CC instead  Want to mention it to him but don't want a row, but what is the bloody point of asking something for him to ignore it!!!!!!
