  • Hi IMD - just caught up with your posts from yesterday. Sending you a big hug. I do sometimes sense underlying resentments between OH and I, even though he was the one having a social life when I was borrowing as we couldn't afford basics. Resentment is a strange and complicated thing, hard to ignore. I have no advice, just keep venting on here I guess! And clearing the air frequently I think is much better than things building up.

Well done on the Ebay stuff, sounds like it was a good decision. Looking forward to hearing your totals.

    Have a good Monday,
    xxx

Hi IMD - sorry you had a rough weekend.... Hopefully your OH will get it one day - if he starts helping with ebay that is good too!

Hugs - hope this week goes better for you!

  • Evening all, just a quick post as busy, busy, busy!

Please note updated signature! Finally some progress :j:j:j

Two CC's are now on added interest and so need to try and shift those and make some phonecalls but looking to overpay them this month with any ebay money.

53 items listed on ebay - 2 sold - 16 will sell - total so far £62.48 :j:j Nearly made back the money I spent and all the other items have got watchers and questions on :D:D:D OH has said if they sell well we will buy another batch of stuff and he'll help - I shall see.

Cat insurance to renew, found it for £120 a year with £40 cash back and at the moment my renewal is for £150 so more savings :D

Went to POst Office, withdrew £300 after working out the denominations I needed and have put them into their own little pots of car tax, car ins, house insurance, birthdays, xmas, pet insurance and MOT :j The feeling of victory is amazing.

So fresh slate, hard work on ebay this month and get this debt shifted!

    Morning all -

SH - things seem a bit better this week, it's hard when money goes wrong, arguments, blah de blah and then get back on an even keel and I feel better again. Must remember how bad I felt at the weekend as a reminder to not spend money!

Was very very good last night, because of the snow I couldn't get to my monthly waxing appointment and not had time since. OH has complained that I am a bit hairy so I invested in £4 waxing strips and did a DIY job with OH assisting on the tricky buts. Even did the scary parts !!! But saved about £25 I think which pays for the unexpected vet trip yesterday :)

Off to try and get kids to move their small bottoms now - will catch up with everyone's diaries later
