Seriously though, how are you managing to go running in this?
Am I just being soft? At first it was a convenient excuse, but now I really need to get out as I feel so sluggish. Do I need other shoes, or will regular trainers do?
Thanks in advance0 -
The key has been my trainers, they are my vice! I have road trainers, trail ones and hardcore fell ones!!
I've mostly been running in the hills so used the hardcore ones but today on the road and trail, I wore my trail ones. They have a lot more grip. You also need to run with a flat foot to avoid slipping.
I did wait until it had thawed a little today but in the main I try and go off road/path, say down a canal path or walking trail. I was knackered today as it is so hard to run in as you have to tread differently but felt better for doing it. Maybe invest in some trail trainers and then in spring head off road, far more fun
Housework was achieved by 6am start and my kids don't wake up until about 8 so popped on the ipod and went for it.

You earned yours so enjoy!
Yes, I think trail shoes are the ones OH has been wearing, he said it's like running on a plate
I asked for vouchers for a running shop from my MiL for Christmas, but got £££ instead - so PADded that  Guess I'll have to sell something to earn the cash.
There is still so much compacted snow here, I daren't run on the roads. Will have to try and join a club to do a bit of off-roading!
Thanks0
