Mrs R - I don't feel quite so bad about my gas and electricity now :rotfl: I had a quick look last night to change but I just don't have the energy to do that and will wait for December bill to make sure we don't owe them money before I look at moving.
Well folks, I did it - I asked for a payrise AND...................................................................................................
they're thinking about it and will get back to me:rolleyes:
Had a very good appraisal, accepted extra responsibilities, more revenue for firm blah de blah didn't have to bring a lot of what I had written up as they raised it. They thought we'd finished appraisal until I mentioned I would like them to consider a pay rise due to no pay rise since I started, increased workload, promotion etc. They weren't dismisive of it at all and said they would talk and get back to me in the New Year. So job's done, not much more I can do about it now. Have applied for other jobs so don't feel too negative either.
Having a slightly weepy day, lost a friend a while back and xmas is always hard, anniversaries and stuff like that. One song on the radio today just proved a little too much but trying to think nice memories rather than be miserable.
Well at least I have achieved something today, spent 90p on chocolate and bought some Shreddies this morning for breakfast at work. Very very nearly left the house with no lunch thinking I'd get some but I turned back round and made some butties1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Hi there In My Dreams - just thought I'd pop in and say hello.
Fingers crossed for the payrise. It's better than an outright `no'...
.I'm applying for jobs at the moment and in three out of four I've told them bluntly what I would like then justified it with what I can do!
Don't let things or people take your joy away....lol
Love Sassers x
PS:Have you thought about joining us on the pay-a-debt-a-day thread. I love it over there and I get huge thrills annoying the banks when I pay a minimum of 1p through online banking every day. I am just keeping everything crossed that I hear positive news from them. We finish tomorrow "unofficially" so it will be a New Year decision. We had also been told we were going to lose part of our contract and found out this afternoon we weren't so that adds to my wage pot :j

Well done for asking for the pay rise. The fact that they didn't dismiss it out of hand and use the old 'we're in a recession' chesnut means you have reason to be fairly optimistic. Please call me 'Pickle'

Hope you're all having lovely weekends!
Weather is so so cold here but I'm wishing it would snow so we can play outside with the kids and the dogs.
Finalised the Tesco online shopping today and the total was a bit :eek: but I think we have got enough for two weeks and we menu planned etc. At family's on Xmas day so we are going to have Boxing Day on our own and a nice meal as a family.
Been out for a fantastic run over the Moors in the snow and ice. Bit precarious but lovely, wish I'd took a camera. Also found out I have a place in London Marathon so time to start training :j:j
Friends round tonight and then not much planned tomorrow, maybe a walk to another friend's house for a brew and a chat.
Now to try and get enough energy to make myself look nice - that will take a long long time!!1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
