Hi IMD, glad you had a good day! Money making aplenty :T
Hope poor doggie is better now too. BTW, did you hear about Go GO Hamster? Apparently, it has dangerous levels of toxinsI'd considered it for DD too, but had second thoughts....
Enjoy the rest of your productive week x0 -

I think I've been quite good today with money  Had to buy some cleanser and chewing gum as necessary or bad skin and bad breath! Took lunch in but then boss bought me a bigger and fattier lunch, and so I ate homemade lunch on way home and didn't have to have anything when I got home - so saved money I thought.
Just been to last school play (thank you, thank you, thank you!) and had to buy raffle tickets for £1, allowed them to prise it from my hand.
Have been told my appraisal is due at work (8 months overdue!!) and now need tips on how to ask for a payriseNot had a rise since I started about 4 years ago, role has changed, I am earning a lot of money for the firm - but there has been all this awkwardness in the last few months so I feel strange about having an appraisal anyway. They have been very good to me and are generous (i.e. buy lunches, take us out etc) but I need extra money in my paypacket....how to ask without appearing greedy?
Any tips gratefully received1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

I hate appraisals and asking for extra money - I am certainly not the best person to give advice......so I won't.......other than to say ooh I don't envy you

Any useful things for you on this site:
http://www.businessballs.com/payrise.htm
Never had a job where I could ask for a payrise so can't give advice. All I can say is go for it! Worst that happens is they say no.
Well done on the low spends, and hope you win the raffle!0 -
Thank you both for scaring me even more :rotfl:This is the first time I have had to think about asking as in other places it has been a January thing and you don't need to ask. I just think too much time has passed for me to leave it again. Done all the right things and worked out I have earned over £200k for them this year alone and I certainly earn nothing near that  Was going to use these figures to justify it...
RT - will go and have a look at that website. Might say that I have a £17.5k challenge and therefore I should have a payrise :cool:1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

I worked at one place where our fee target was based on 3 x the cost of employing us.
So, I had to take my salary, the cost of my car (oh those were the days), bupa, Nat Ins etc, and then triple it to get the amount I was expected to earn the firm.
So perhaps do something similar in reverse, if you can find out some sort of appropriate "multiple" for your particular industry?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
