Hello IMD (and everyone else)
It's taken me a few days to read through this thread, I've not been coming on MSE for very long, and TBH the subject title caught my attention.
I'd just like to say that you are all very inspiring, and the support is amazing. i am too experiencing financial issues, the total amount isn't as high as some others, but it's all relative - myself and OH are living beyond our means.
Some of you have provided some really good ideas about how to save, budget and remain focussed where money is concerned. i have relayed your ideas to OH but he appears to be an ostrich too! I think i will start a spend diary but I'm already procrastinating on this! i've joined some other threads and although i pay to all of my bills each month I am focussing on paying additional extras to one at a time - i hope it works out in the long run!
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and to wish everyone the best of luck. I know it's a long hard struggle but we will all be debt free eventually - my dad constantly reminds me that Rome wasn't built in a day.

Morning everyone - won another £5 on bingo yesterday :jThink I might set up account for OH as well. After my beginners luck win I don't mind if I don't win any more but it would be nice
Busy weekend, out with friends yesterday but very cheap day, think we spent about £20 in all and the kids had a brilliant time. Going for a run today and then a lovely relaxing day ahead. Might have a look around at changing gas and electricity and need to sort out freeview boxes for as cheap as chips!
Car fixed, not sure what was wrong with it and how much yet, fingers crossed bill won't be too much!!
Have bought a few christmas presents and me and my sister have come up with an economical present for relatives so we can all chip in which will mean spending a lot less money

I hope OH wins more than me, particularly as he doesn't know about his account
Knackered, been out with some friends for tea, weekly spends gone but new week starts tomorrow and back on track. I am feeling more positive this week, even when money issue go a bit off the boil I am still able to get back onto the "beat the debt train" without too much stress. I think it's perfectly normal to have a few blips......isn't it?1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
