Wow! I have to say I'm fairly speechless coming on here this morning and reading so many fantastic posts and all so supportive. Thank you so so much. It is amazing how kind words from strangers can make a difference.
Hopefully feeling a bit stronger today, will get back up and dust myself off and start the week again. Have got my CV to have a look over it and the sad fact is that if I do have to leave it will be because of an individual however it may give me the opportunity to do bigger and better things, who knows? But I will stick it out if I can.

IMD glad your feeling a bit stronger today, its terrible that one individual has done this to you and you may have to leave your job because of it, good luck updating your cv and like you say there might be bigger and better things out there.
keep strong and take care of youself.0 -
I hope you get things sorted soon. At the begining of our journey an icy road and a tree looked very tempting! All I can say is keep a record of everything that is happening at work, you never know when you may need it.

Evening
Marginally better day, still horrendous but not as horrendous as yesterday.......
Been positive today, cancelled a DD for £7.99 for something I forgot about and also cancelled the £30 gym membership :j I am part of a gym membership through work and spend most of my time at that one, and as it's getting colder I am less likely to want to go to the gym at night so saved £38 or thereabouts today!
Ever so slightly envious of the lottery winners, laid in bed last night and thought who I would give money to if I won and I have to say, hand on heart, I would give people on here money who have been so kind and lovely when I really was low yesterday. Did consider making an appointment with GP but will just post on here and cry instead....
Got xmas lists of kids today, Madam wants a laptop, phone or flatscreen TV :eek::eek::eek: she's 9:eek::eek::eek::eek: and has had a very stern talking to about high expectations. Little boy wants three piece of legohowever he would liked them wrapped individually......
Best go and feed dogs now, the youngest is sat on my toes with his bowl in his mouth, just a small hint I think?1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Madam will soon learn  My DS was always the same - one year he asked for socks........:D:o
I am glad today was slightly less horrendous, but sorry that it is still horrid. It will get better, honest it will.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
My Dd has asked for a Wii, a laptop and a DS - the new one with the camera - yeah right  She's 5!
Glad today was better - onwards and upwards :T0 -
Poor IMD. Am sorry for your pain. But it's good you did some things to make you feel more positive moneywise, at least, today. When are a lot of these OHs on here going to grow up? Yours might be great in other ways but he needs to support you and see this DF journey as a joint venture, not you curtailing his fun. Silly boy. He could at least start by filing his expenses on time, a v small step compared to all the responsibility you're taking. Humph!
Yours in sistahood

Hi IMD, just wanted to say in arch this year i had a breakdown because of work issues with boss and such. Earlier this year about 6 weeks after returning to work i had a word with her and waht gave me the courage was thinking of my family and how we needed this job and boy she was no way going to take that aaway from me. I understand that it may be different sets of issues for you but
just remember that as long as you have ot done anything wrong th ruth wll out!x
I do understand your stress i have had many a moment of suicida thought to close for comfort some times!
Be kind to yourself , the best advice i had which was from my gp was its all to much to cope with so just start by just keeping breathing in and out and go from there!
My thoughts are with you. Feel free to pm me i am also a qualified counsellor, and on line friend!x0 -
Hi IMD - I didn't post last night as was unsure what to say. Sorry that your work life has taken a turn for the worse. I agree with Lucielle - keep a diary of everything that happens and date it. Dusting off your CV and trying to move on might be a better long term solution.
I've struggled with depression altho strangely it hasn't been debt that got me down - debt has been a symptom of depression if tha makes sense rather than the other way round. I would go and see your GP and see if you can get any support that way....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
