    Helloooooo

Sorry to hear about the work thing. Sounds terrible - do you really think you'll have to leave your job over it?

Pleased about that lottery win - a nice little bit of unexpected money always helps cheer you up :) I might start doing the lottery now!

  • Hi

Have you spoken to ACAS re the work situation. Even if you don't go ahead with a complaint it may help to talk to experts about the situation? They are a free service (you might already know) www.acas.org.uk so try giving them a ring maybe?

You and your family do not deserve some 'pig' to drive you out of a job and potentially put you at risk with not being able to pay the debts so I wish you luck with this.

    Take care

    Hi IMD
I've lurked a few times on your diary, well done on your excellent start on the path to debt freedom.

Sorry to hear of your work issue. I had a friend in a similar position a couple of years ago. She sought legal advice and was ready to take them on ,having been advised she had a good case.

However, a family member advised her to think twice. Her employers were a large firm who could afford the best legal team and frankly, she would have been crushed by them and potentially lost everything.

She still works there and things were worked out with the help of the HR dept and support within the company. You are right to consider all options, but also avoid anything rash - as it may be possible to sort it out.

    I wish you well :)
  • Thank you so much for your lovely comments, wish I could go into more detail but just can't. Am going into work tomorrow to see what is going to happen although I suspect it will be pretty unbearable, stomach is churning now! Not going to do anything drastic but having sought legal advice I would be up against a lot and quite frankly I can't afford it! Just wish I could fast forward 24 hours and get it over with

Will be back to check up and post to the usuals when my mind is not freaking me out - isn't it rubbish when you think about stuff in the middle of the night as well!

Just looked at finances and wished I hadn't! OH has only just put expenses in (after much nagging as he missed the first deadline) but still using CC like it is limitless, have had to juggle money until his expenses are paid next week. Just more aggro - aarrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........that's better.........

IMD - just checked in on your diary - what a horrible thing for you to have to go through at work. Please update us (when you feel able to) and let us know how Monday went.

Thank you all :) Been to work and it was fairly uncomfortable, tried to act normal and get through the day and have come out the other end. Resigning without another job isn't an option, only other option is to go on the sick but don't think that will help either. No HR dept to help me out but others do know and trying to help, being cryptic but last thing I want is to be sued for libel by slating someone on here. I am just going to see how I get on this week, have been physically sick with the stress this weekend and didn't realise how bad it could make me feel. Am so angry as I have always been a strong person and I am now pathetic!

Ashamed to say that this morning, work situation that I am in, me and OH had rowed and fact that finances aren't good nearly sent me over the edge. I honestly thought my family would be better off without me, sadly the only thing that made me stop and think was that the insurance policy wouldn't pay out :( Never ever been that low before :(

Reality is that we are in SO much debt and it will take so long and I may have to stay somewhere where my career is on a knife edge depending whether I stand up for myself or not.

Had to transfer money from savings which means everything I have put away for xmas has gone, or at least until OH's expenses have been paid so I can't start the shopping as I wanted to do. It is just one stress after another. Car flies through MOT and the other one starts playing up. He just doesn't get why I need expenses paying on time, and that i need to borrow from bills account to pay credit card until they are paid and then swap back and it goes on and on and on.

God what a miserable post AND I spent £5.00 on lunch for no reason other than I had to get out of the office and couldn't sit there any longer. What a pure pants day!!
