I think I'll have to do that one, can you imagine the relief of being a mere £50k+ this time next year. Am so desperate to get DFD down to 4 years instead of 5!

Woop! I'm in for that one! Have you started the thread yet?

No, I will start it towards the end of November, otherwise people will abandon the current one and think it has finished. But it will definitely be there in time for December!

IMD - you are in the same position I was in a couple of years ago.....and it is ENTIRELY possible that you can be at 50k by next Christmas. How good would THAT feel!

*Phew* (wipes perspiration from forehead). Checked online banking yet again and OH's wages are showing as gone in on the balance :j We were secretly expecting a bonus as he is owed a few thousand but this didn't come to fruition, bosses have booked meeting to explain why they haven't kept to their agreed terms of contract.....but mustn't dwell and can't count chicks until they've hatched and all that!

So in hinsight, in a more positive way I could say that we have ended the month £60 in credit at the joint account and would have broken even bar a few pounds in the other account. Did end up putting the shopping on CC :naughty: but I will repay this back to the CC first thing in the morning so no interest accrued.

Fingers crossed I won't sail this close to the wind next month. Thanks all for seeing me through the difficult bit :T

I am so pleased for you! You are turning into a proper mse'r - you deserve those two stars LOL!

Congratulations - We used to overspend by a grand a month when we first joined. Our aim now is to pay off or stooze £1K a month while we are both earning!

Anyway all the best you can change habits - and I didn't think it would last! But we've been going strong about 15 months now!

Thanks, I am going to compare spending diary soon to last month and see the difference a month has made.

A routine trip to garage to check tyre pressure has left me reeling today after discovering we need two new tyres :eek::eek: just a mere £130 :eek::eek: due for MOT next week so couldn't not do it............

Just sat at the table now, all paperwork out and sort out for the month ahead, report back shortly with a shiny new signature hopefully :)

I like doing these end/beginning of month updates - good or bad, they focus me and give me new motivation for the coming weeks.....

I look forward to seeing your progress :D

Just on here now Hypno to do the deed :) and signature is duly completed!!

OH has been paid a bit of commission owed since last year which has seen us through the tyre disaster. Just got to deal with pet insurance and MOT and we may be home and dry - really need to work on the food this month as well. Making a double batch of food as I type (well not literally obviously.....)

Feel slightly better about life now, plenty in general account to see us through the next month and every single bill paid and cheque written - yippee :)

Onwards and upwards, 2 months down the line :)
