You are doing great and one day you will be debtfree..it doesn't matter when...as long as debt is coming down each month by however much or little that is a step in the right direction.
Don't worry about Craig..he is either poorly or angry and there's nothing we can do to help him unless he asks for help.0 -
Ahh imd chin up this battle is hard and like hypno said and which I read and it made me think we can't try and pay debts off at an amount that will only set us up for disappointment so be pleased that although life may feel lik it is on hold we are definatly getting there
) so keep up the good work your an inspiration we all are because we are taking a positive step in getting our debts down x

Hi IMD, I have taken the time to read over your lovely thread, four days in fact. I to will take years to pay off the debt. Which stands at £76,000ish (OMG) but this is everything, car loan, cc's, tesco loan etc etc etc. This is also the first time I have actually put that figure out there so to speak. I usually think about the debt in terms of cc's and would think to myself well the other debt will end relatively soon and their payments never change.
The debt we had was never a real problem as we could make the payments with no problem but now OH is out of work and unable be cliam dole because they say he didn't make enough NI payments over the previous year. However this was due to the fact that he was a director and hardly paid himself for over a year to try and make the business work, so we have lost out on two fronts. We would have been better off if he had closed the business earlier, then at least we could have claimed dole. I know it's not much be it all helps on the road to DFD.
I have been on my snowball today stairing at the figure so hard in the hope that it would scare a couple of noughts off the end.
I am busy tring to ebay items but some things I will be lucky to make 50p profit on by the time you take fees etc off. Is it really worth it? But as I say to OH if I sold all the [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] unwanted items in the house for a 50p profit then we would be half way there. It is just so hard to keep it up.
Hope you don't mind if I join your little crowd as it looks like we will be around for the same lenght of time. 2 years was it.

Blitzing one room at a time sounds like an excellent idea - apart from anything else, it will give you something to feel in control of, while you are feeling yukky about the numbers side of things.
Keep going - you are making progress, even if you don't think you are. For a start, you have stuck around.....and while you are here, you are more in control than you are if you go awol!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Well that's the plan Hypno! OH says he is back at the female escort idea
Have been kind of productive and done all the ironing which I have been messing about with all day. House is tidy, DS in bed early for being naughty and telling me that I am a "wobbly idiot" :rotfl::rotfl:not sure which bits are wobbling in his eyes  Bless him, he's knackered, but of course if I dare say that............
Will actually turn the computer off later and read my book, especially after last night's disaster sleepwise. Feeling better today, the journey continues and have even listed some of DD's toys on ebay :j:j1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
